I feel like them having RC instead would be more accurate
Are you implying 8chan is superior in all ways? [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline]
Exactly, it's superior
Look at this degeneracy, Pepsi is like fizzy drain cleaner.
Them having Pepsi means that they'll also have Pepsi products over the shitty equivalents such as mellow yellow and the like Plus fountain coke tastes like ass [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline]
8chan has been a lost cause since December 2014, why the fuck would anyone want to go there? It's slow, the userbase is terrible (and getting even worse), there's no guarantee that the mods of a particular board won't be crap, and there hasn't been any good content on the handful of boards that actually do get traffic since early 2015.
Current state of users doesn't change that they have a better site, setup and administration, and ignoring it and jumping ship isn't gonna help it not be "a lost cause", if your basis for that is the populace. [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline] Experiences with content vary though I suppose.
Oh, yeah maybe that makes sense. I was thinking of an actual restaurant where you order wine with a meal.
Fuck you, nothing is finer than casual dining.
/b/ and /pol/ don't contain shit.
If they ever disappear it would be a lot worse
The administration is only guaranteed to be better on fringe boards, AKA the slowest, most niche boards on the site. With big boards you have to hope that the best run board beats out the competition right away and doesn't eventually go to shit, because a mass board-to-board exodus has only been successfully pulled off a couple of times in the site's history and half the users on any given board are prepared to go down with the ship. In other words, the mods are effectively doing it for free, just like on 4chan.
Fuck you, nothing is finer than casual dining.
I... never... said otherwise...? I just had something else in my head so I was wondering what the hell he was talking about.
Good riddance to shitty rubbish.
I... never... said otherwise...? I just had something else in my head so I was wondering what the hell he was talking about.
When you said "actual restaurant" I thought you were talking shit about my mediocre wings and tacky Americana.
we gotta keep buying rust otherwise garry will have to sell fp to keep having money
-snip [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline]
i mean 3 minutes on /co/ and /v/ respectively will prove that containment horseshit wrong but alright
oh boy you haven't been on when /b/ was down
Okay fair enough, delete just /b/ then
Delete /b/ and the cancer spreads, you need containment boards.
Because it's shit and 8chan is already better [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline] And it's been at least 1-2 years since the exodus
Wait you mean Reddit: 4chan edition?
[editline]23rd September 2016[/editline] Wait, doesn't 4chan disallow you to post from a tor exit node?
Yep, Global #14, most are banned anyway, though, one might slip through the cracks, as in this case.
I only know of somethingawful from facepunch emotes when I tried to register to the forums there it asked me to pay 10$ or some shit like that? are they for real?

What the gently caress... :v:
Wait you mean Reddit: 4chan edition?
laugh it up but we're all gonna be reddit/8chan: facepunch edition soon anyway [editline]23rd September 2016[/editline]
8chan is great, I love it, it keeps all the redditors out of 4chan
I doubt there's that many redditors using 8chan, aside from GG. /r/4chan and classic4chan is more likely whats keeping them out. I think a lot of 8chan is remnant of the exodus from back when moot lost touch and didn't return after the 2ch guy got it
/b/, much like /mlp/ and /pol/, are containment boards, if you delete them, the cancer will spread.
/pol/ is overflowing and spilling everywhere right now, though, but to be fair that's probably more due to sheer volume rather than the idea not (temporarily) working.
/pol/ is overflowing and spilling everywhere right now, though, but to be fair that's probably more due to sheer volume rather than the idea not (temporarily) working.
Nah, the problem is that containment boards only work for content, not people. /b/tards and /pol/lacks very quickly developed an identity around their respective boards and will bring that identity with them all over the goddamn place. Without that identity you get something far more isolated, like /s4s/.

Wait are you one of those people that actually believe those pictures about Masterchan (thats the name for one of those channels right?) and 8chan?
Is SomethingAwful still going strong? I literally haven't even heard or seen the name typed in many years. I just went there, I still can't believe all the shit you have to pay for lol.
I heard that SA got really social justice friendly a couple years back. Did that really happen? Is SA still relevant at all?
I heard that SA got really social justice friendly a couple years back. Did that really happen? Is SA still relevant at all?
quite easy to tell you've never visited SA at all if this is your impression of it lol
quite easy to tell you've never visited SA at all if this is your impression of it lol
either way you have to pay to get in so how could anyone at this point
I only know of somethingawful from facepunch emotes when I tried to register to the forums there it asked me to pay 10$ or some shit like that? are they for real?
It's spam protection mostly. Deters most terrible posters too.
It's spam protection mostly. Deters most terrible posters too.
detering terrible posters, ah yes thats the main excuse for defending needing to pay to view a whole forum
Entirely subjective but I've paid for two accounts (one for me, one for a family member) on SA and never regretted it. It's only a one-time payment and there's a ton of quality reading if you look in the right spots.
detering terrible posters, ah yes thats the main excuse for defending needing to pay to view a whole forum
People paid to see gmf and have bigger avatars and considered that worthwhile I'm sure to some the cost of entry to sa is also worth it
I hope SA gets deleted
I hope SA gets deleted
i hope all the forums get deleted all but yahoo answers this will be the day
