Vogue magazine editors pledge to use 'healthy' models - Polidicks

Personally i've just always discounted magazines as a shit source for body image. Never applied it. But hey, good to protect the models actually. Far too many girls decide they are going to become models so they start puking their guts up.

ITT people who think you can determine health solely by looking at someones weight. Everyone calls 3 "healthy" when you really have to analyze a lot more about someones physical composition than weight and appearance alone. It's odd to me. Facepunch swings on opinion so often, it's hard to not call it a band wagon sometimes. Last year, in those Hot Girls fast thread where people posted pictures of girls they thought were attractive (usually half nude), there were tons of pages of girls that had a build of girl number 2. Girls with builds similar to girl 3, were almost non existent. Now that there have been a few threads about underweight models the past 2 months, everyone is suddenly into heavier girls and think that perfectly normal girls, girls with builds similar to girl 2, are unattractive or just "meh." What the fuck?

What the fuck?[/QUOTE] I personally don't find the 3 to be my favorite, and while I believe in opinion diversity, I think the number of people that say "1 and 2 are simply too skinny" is a bit overblown, because of the "I'm a nice guy, I won't judge anyone on weight" mentality. I might just be a cynical asshole, but I think that that's where it stems from.

Also, use of heavier models has increased in the last few years. And besides, a lot of the pictures in the hot girls threads weren't just model shots.
