I hope they stop treating legal immigrants better than actual born and raised Americans. I know of families who collect off the government and wont let their own children get jobs because if they do the family stops getting money for free. Which means everyone in the family would have to get jobs like regular people to support the household.

What the Hell do you people want? How would having the government cut all existing fundings and spending solve anything? How would having everything being privatized be a good thing? All they will do is care for a ton of stockholders on Wall Street.

[/QUOTE] Either the government would completely collapse and there'd be a massive rush to instate a new one with new policies or the country would be conquered by / given away to another country. Either way, a new regime would be instated based mostly around fixing the problems the previous government created to garner more support by the public, though there is, by definition, no such thing as a perfect political system. Chances are the new system would cause such a shock to what the people of former USA are used to that the country would become unstable and corrupt until the government recollapses, and it begins all over again.

I'm surprised that's not going on now.

I don't really think we should close military bases in Asia until NK is dealt with, same with bases near Iran.
