• Swine Flu Gives Its Survivors Supercharged Immunity

Shouldn't the vaccine cause the same effects, then? Or maybe you need a strong dose, I guess.
I think people are missing the point. This isn't going to get you immune against every single type of flu out there, only the ones you've already caught+swine flu. No, your immune system is NOT the hulk right now, it's still quite a bit better than the people who didn't have swine flu though. EDIT: O.K, this really confuses me, scientists talk that it produced antibodies base on the memories of various flu viruses you caught before, however, later on they say that would be universal when it obviously doesn't produce antibodies that work against every single type of flu? How does that work? I'll just chalk it up to the person writing that article writing out of his arse a bit, still, this is quite interesting.
"Anything that does not kill you, make you stronger" In a sense.
This makes sense. I spent most of my childhood licking walls at the DMV and supermarket, and my immune system has so far been very secure. I rarely ever get sick.
I haven't caught the flu since I had it, though I usually don't during the normal flu seasons. My family shut me in my bedroom for a day when I caught it. I never tried opening the door but I think they had chairs blocking it...
I want some swine flu, as long as their is a sure method to curing it so I doon't die.
This actually explains a lot. I might have had swine flu back in '08, I thought it was regular flu at the time so I never bothered to go to a doctor. But once the big scare of '09 came through it sounded about right. Anyway, since then I haven't been sick. I used to get sick rarely before but I'd at least get a cold in the winter, now nothing.
I never get the flu anyway.
I never got the flu shot and I never got the swine flu virus. I got the seasonal flu 3 times in 2010. This is unfair.
I had an intense cold when Swine Flu was around, and now I haven't been sick since. That would explain it. But I don't think Swine is like a really bad cold, is it?
Haven't been sick since I got swine flu, atleast I think it was swine flu. [editline]18th January 2011[/editline] Scientists will probably find a way to put this in an injection now to give to people for a supercharged immunity.
I already had it one year ago and it's not that bad. Regular flu is actually more lethal than Swine Flu.
The same way you get immune to anything else. Like immune to getting laid...
You would have to get laid initially in order to become immune to getting laid
