Haha wow. When sending chat, it likes to wait a few seconds before actually doing anything after pressing send. Throws me off every time. No such thing as "responsive" here. Also, more importantly, I'm not receiving any messages at all (not just notifications), even though I am receiving the messages on my steam desktop (and able to send fine through the app, ignoring the delay), the app is not receiving ANY messages.
this in particular pissed me off because the previous version was pretty consistent with receiving messages i feel steam mobile is now what hammer became: a tower of duct tape
How can Valve even call this Material design? It isn't even following Material design as there are lots of things missing. Come one man, how hard should it be Valve.
I feel steam mobile is now what hammer became: a tower of duct tape
That's what happens when Valve doesn't have any experienced mobile app developers on-board. If they had that, there might even be a windows phone app. [editline]26th June 2015[/editline]
How can Valve even call this Material design? Whenever I heard anything about Valve updating anything, I'm starting to think that the "work on whatever you want" work ethic of Valve might not be as cool for us as it is for them. This might not be what's actually going on but I feel like they've all rolled their desks into the break room and all the shit they want to make is given off to the community in the guise of a "workshop."
Dunno about you guys but it runs better than the old one for me on a LG G2 (Pretty much the same specs as a Nexus 5) and it shows past chat history shared with my PC, I'm gonna have to wait and see if the notifications are actually coming through this time (they were massively delayed on the previous version, I'm talking 30 minutes to an hour late)
I take that back, while it does show me all messages including the ones I've received when offline unlike the old version, it either just doesn't run in the background or doesn't show any notifications, which makes it fucking useless as a chat app
all i get is crashes now
