say hello to increased taxes and spending cuts across the board, what a disastrous combination
I'm curious -
Those who are saying it'll have long term benefits, how so?

But Americans only ever like short term results!
Yeah, I know. Americans are short sighted. But really, unless you're bottom of the barrel, this will honestly be better and you can afford it.
Let's fix this the american way
Simply raise the fiscal limit and blame Obama

Spending cuts and increased taxes across the board to clinton era rates will lead to a surplus.
The paranoia over this whole fiscal cliff thing is dumb as fuck. As if the end of some tax cuts are going to crash the economy.
These dumb fuckers in Congress should stop pointing fingers and blaming people for a possible, not even definite economic downturn and just do some fucking work for once. Jesus Christ.
The only thing worse than Congress is the California Legislature, because they do the same thing but it has a larger impact on me.
Really, the only problem is that there's going to be small economic growth for a short period, probably till the summer, then things will get adjusted and smooth sailing.

[sp]Oh man oh man, I totally pwned that guy with my sweeping generalization, I'm so fucking cool *fapfapfap*[/sp]
oh i'm sorry, does voting for the people who would like to fuck you over, take away benefits from everyone including veterans, shit all over public schools, and try to take rights away from women make you an intelligent person now?
Everyone in the lower and lower-middle class is going to get completely fucked though
Everyone in the lower and lower-middle class is going to get completely fucked though
Not really. It will be a small jump, but unless 20 dollars is the difference between life and death, they'll be fine.
Prepare for the worse, hope for the best.
Oh fuck.
Hopefully the money made from the Christmas rush should last me through it.

Heavy cuts to defense
Return to Clinton rates, even though welfare is cut more revenue could be put towards that
Debt projected to be 58% of GDP by 2022
Not really. It will be a small jump, but unless 20 dollars is the difference between life and death, they'll be fine.
No, because they're going to lose social security, welfare, food stamps etc. because of the spending cuts, and prices for almost everything will go up, fucking them over even more.
Unless I'm wrong about something.

From what smelly, sweaty crevice of your ass did you pull this? I didn't say a thing about voting, I'm saying you're stupid for calling every American an idiot when you have no fucking clue what any of them are like besides the vocal minority.
That's the joke. It's congress's job, but Americans like the blame anything that happens, no matter what it is, on the president.
Congress is fucking incompetent. We'd be better off having a bunch of monkeys do their job for them. At least the monkeys wouldn't be constantly pushing their own political career.
Because he's done/is doing so much to fix this

They don't come to a deal, they shouldn't be paid.
It's only fair if they're fucking the rest of this country over, but not really by much.
They'll bicker and fight until it's too late on raising taxes on the richest people or not, But they'll always come together and speedily vote for their own pay raises
USA went bankrupt and has died! World has went bankrupt and died! Universe went bankrupt and died (what)!
USA went bankrupt and has died! World has went bankrupt and died! Universe went bankrupt and died (what)!
If everyone is bankrupt, is there really any bankruptcy at all?

Yeah

uh are you being serious? Representatives are voted in by the people, the republicans have house majority and will have it in the new congress, what's not to get?
This is what i picture when i think about the fiscal cliff and recent events. The lone character represents the 99% whilst the dancing fuckers = the government.

Well I guess it's every man for himself now.

Yeah, but America seems to be one of the few nations where ignorance is actively cherished and condoned, so of course that makes it's way into their politics. They're not just nutjobs, they're ignorant nutjobs.

DC Starbucks should be writing "Asshole" on their coffee cups.
Seriously, this country is governed by idiotic, self-absorbed children that would rather take money from hundreds of millions of people who have already had stagnant and shrinking wages for 30 years than to be seen compromising.
cutting defense, cutting social programs, cutting everything, and raising taxes.
But my standard of living D: cries the American people.
Its going to take someone who can man the fuck up and do what needs to be done rather then what will get the elected for any change to occur.
So someone help me out here.
One a scale from 1-10, how actually fucked are we?
I think it's high time for another civil war
