PETA Asks Turkey, Texas, to Change Name to 'Tofurkey'

I wish PETA would stop doing stupid shit like this. Can't they do something worthwhile? Why. I mean, did they have to make Tofu Boy just because "Meat" was in Super Meat Boy? There's meat in people, too!
Are they gonna ask the country too
They probably already did... and got deported for it.
I'm laughing too hard to think of something to say about this
Wow.
I have to post this a second time in the same week.
PETA is on a roll.
if we aren't supposed to eat animals why are they so tasty
Or you know, why do we have canines or one of the side effects of not eating meats showing increased health problems relating to brain function.

Plus bacon is amazing.
Screw peta. I'm having a bacon-wrapped turducken with some steak on the side.
And A tiny flag to announce my hatred towards peta. I might email a picture to them.
Im gonna copy and paste my reply from the last thread...
"The sooner people stop giving PETA free publicity for their fucking retarded PR schemes the better. We should make a new rule to just ignore everything that comes out of that shitty organisation, maybe then they'll just die out and the world can be a better place.
A man can dream."
From the title, I thought maybe Peta was asking the country Turkey, and the entire state of Texas, to both change their names to Tofurkey.
As funny as this is, it really sickens me that PETA cares more about the name of a town than actually dealing with animal mistreatment.
PETA is a complete joke, I had a friend who worked for them, he got offered a full time well paying job but turned them down when he started meeting actual organizers of the group, they were all bats hit insane.
I've lost all respect for PETA over the last few weeks.

You had respect for PETA?
Even though the Earth Liberation Front is a terrorist organization they've done more for the protection of animals and the environment than PETA has
If you want to help save the lives of animals, either volunteer or give money to your local SPCA, or the WWF if you want to help out with international causes

When did you have respect for PETA?
this is it, gentlemen
peta has revealed themselves to be the united states' real life troll syndicate
this is the event horizon, this right here

I give to both of these and, if you want to help this is how you do it.
Eating a Turkey Sub for dinner.
It's delicious.
Who actually listens to PETA?
This just in. PETA continues to do stupid shit for media attention. In other news, the sky is blue. More at 11.

PETA's audio recorders
Bless their souls
I read the title and thought The Onion
I wonder if they flip their shit over this. I think they may :v:

Oh, I thought they wanted to change the names of Texas, and the country of Turkey, which wouldn't make any sense.
We need to ask this town to instead rename themselves to "Turkeyslaughter" or something just to spite PETA.

Holy fuck.
that and turkey actually tastes kinda gross
[editline]17th November 2011[/editline]
not turkey though
Bullshit, get some rosemary salt pepper and butter and rub it all over the thing. Then its delicious.
That doesn't even make any sense
Nothing about the word "Turkey" suggests they're doing violent things to turkeys. It's just the name of the animal.
I'm pretty sure at this point PETA knows everyone thinks they're ridiculous so they're just trolling now :v:
they are getting to be just as bad as the WBC
It's PETA again. Wouldn't it be nice if they did all this just to make people laugh? They're probably serious, though.
A vegan banquet? I'd rather burn in hell than visit that. Turkey is good, tofu is not. Deal with it.
I enjoy the tofu served at a local restaurant.
