I'm going to go down to the candy shop and buy some Tofurkish Delight
They want this change to happen, but I have yet to see them shit their pants and scream at the top of their lungs over animal crackers yet.
I don't understand, I can see them ranting about that WAY FUCKING BEFORE they'd try to do something like this.
Oh well. What more would I expect from people with their heads up their butts singing ZIPPITY DO-DAH
Tofu is pretty great if you know how to cook with it properly
Yeah, it gets a bad image, but tofu definitely has its place.
If you aren't distinctly trying to replace meat with it, and instead using it on its own merits, it is often an excellent addition to appropriate dishes. You can also replace meat with it, but I have never found it to be as good as the original.
Anyways I would like to suggest that the name of the town be officially changed for one day, specifically thanksgiving, from "Turkey" to "Fuck off, PETA".
Also acceptable would be officially changing the name from "Turkey" to "TURKEY" or "Turkey Turkey Turkey".
EDIT: Now I have written turkey too many times and it looks weird.
When I want to replace meat, for burgers anyway, I use those Gardenburger patties
They're so damn good, haven't seen them anywhere for ages though. Seems the only place you can get them in Canada is at Subway restaurants now.
this thread is vegetarian options now... I like to take tofu cut it up into chunks about the size of a nugget and soak them in buffalo sauce. Mix those up in some homemade mac & cheese and you've got an awesome meal.
Hey PETA, doesn't that book series encourage violence towards animals, wait, they are not animals, they are not even dogs, they are idiot shits that encourages setting a thing back 100 years. Can they protest something else, like that book series that is showing its 4th movie tomorrow, and will show the 2nd part, taking a page from a more successful series?
Wait, never mind, PETA is anti-human, they would pet evil attack dogs while sane people would defend/kill them evil dogs.
PETA is pretty dumb but at least they have a sense of humour
As funny as this is, it really sickens me that PETA cares more about the name of a town than actually dealing with animal mistreatment.
are you seriously saying that?
its peta, they haven't been for intelligence since they stared

you know if you put cheese in it then it's not vegetarian
you know if you put cheese in it then it's not vegetarian
Cheese isn't meat. You know.
I'm actually beginning to think someone's infiltrated PETA right at the very top, and is bringing the organisation down from the inside.
Nah, this has to be a joke, there is no way somebody is serious about this.
you know if you put cheese in it then it's not vegetarian
Vegetarians just don't eat meat. Vegans don't eat any animal products.
Cheese isn't meat. You know.
it depends on how strictly you take vegetarianism

why are you people getting so caremad about what is probably the most innocent thing they've ever done
it depends on how strictly you take vegetarianism

It's not meat period, and in my view there's two types of 'Vegetarian', the average, Vegetarians and the Vegans. Vegans are stone cold no animal products, and mainly composed of gigantic bigoted douche bags that piss themselves if anything animal is in anything. Vegetarians are more variant, from extremely little meat, to "I don't care if skittles has a little animal in it, I'll have it anyways".

I feel like people would think that's native American (Peh-tah-suks)
Wow.
I have to post this a second time in the same week.
PETA is on a roll.

It's funny, that's a furry webcomic.
PETA is the association with the least authority to date. They're only making fun of theirself.
I remember when I thought PETA was an animal protection service :v:
Maybe if they did something actually constructive instead of all this trival bullshit we probably wouldn't need them right now.

...need them? We need them? I may have misunderstood your post.

Doesn't PETA get money from the Federal Government? If only I got paid by the government to sit around, come up with dumb video game parodies, and insist on name changes for things that sound like meat. And kill over 90% of animals that I come into contact with.
Tofu ain't bad in the right dishes. Its a flavor sponge, cook it with stuff and it'll take on the flavor of the stuff you're cooking it in, soups especially.
I'd love to have a PETA dude come and have me answer the door eating a strip of bacon.
"Relax, its baby bacon."
I've never understood why fish, a meat, isn't considered a meat to these people or a lot of vegans?
If it's because of "Oh the sea is huge so fish are expandable so you may eat them" then that makes them just as bad as any meat eater who eats from animals bred for it in huge quantities! In the minds of these stupid people anyway.

People believe that fish can't feel pain
Almost all of them can, though

I'm definitely stealing that line.
Except instead of just PETA, I'll use it on everyone.
Next they'll be going after the country of Turkey.
