• Google are making a 64 Bit version of Chrome

Hmm and I was considering moving to Internet Explorer on my desktop due to how much faster it is than Chrome.
How have they not shipped 64-bit versions already? that kind of rubbish isn't acceptable on OS X or Linux.
most Windows users are people who go it with their machines, they didn't choose Windows. It's why allot of those users are moving to tablets, only PC gamers or developers "choose" their OS on purpose
And now I have fucking awful performance issues in the newest stable version for no apparent reason, taking 2 seconds to switch between tabs and load anything, great.
So, if I have to ask why should I get this, should I get this?
Diggin' this font rendering, even if nobody else is. :v:
I'm just getting "installation failed because of an unspecified error" Do I need to uninstall 32 bit chrome for it to work or something?
And now I have fucking awful performance issues in the newest stable version for no apparent reason, taking 2 seconds to switch between tabs and load anything, great.
Don't use stable, its absolute fucking trash. Use dev channel over it.
Making a 64 bit version is not going to magically make Steam run noticeably faster.
Doesn't means they can't do a client both 64 bit version and something that runs much better than it currently does. Seriously, Origin "pre-format" starts up so bloody fast, even compared to "after-format" Steam launch on my PC.
Your about page will look like this when you're on 64 bit, just in case you're unsure.
thank you. I was wondering about this before I hit download [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] Ironically, I cant download the 64bit one using Chrome. The fuck. [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] Oh. Got it now. 2 minutes after I clicked download it starts. Ok.
This 64 bit browser is going to be a RAM hog.
This 64 bit browser is going to be a RAM hog.
It's uneducated spew like this that kept Windows from joining the rest of us in the 21st century. Please stop.
This 64 bit browser is going to be a RAM hog.
I'm on 64-bit Chrome right now and it seems to use less memory than 32-bit.
So it seems if you use 64-Bit Chrome it disables/uninstalls a LOT of plugins from chrome://plugins . If you use the Adobe Reader Plugin then that is one of them that I noticed. I had to reinstall the 32-bit for it to work again. And I know quite a few places require Adobe Reader for filling out PDF's and electronic signatures (such as my employer). So beware if you use it.
Too bad I still can't fucking use it. Thanks for bricking my Chrome somehow, Google. I appreciate it. [sp]It doesn't open. If I revert back to 36.[numbers and decimals and shit] it works fine, but 38.[more #s and shit] it gets fucked. Eventually I just decided "fuck it" and installed Firefox with a Chrome skin and customized it to make it work like a Chrome with more features.[/sp] Even if I could install it and get it to work again, I've already switched browsers and downloaded all my plugins and shit once, I don't want to deal with it a second time
36.[numbers and decimals and shit]
For future reference, usually people just substitute "x" in version numbers, as in "36.x"
I'm just getting "installation failed because of an unspecified error" Do I need to uninstall 32 bit chrome for it to work or something?
i just checked randomly and chrome seems to have magically updated itself to 64bit somehow??? what
