there's a pretty big difference between Anonymous and an anonymous person or group
there's a pretty big difference between Anonymous and an anonymous person or group
I'm going to take a screenshot of that, and every time I see a new thread about how Anonymous hacked a website, and people give them shit for it, I'm going to post that fucker 800 times resized so I don't have to keep explaining to idiots what anonymous means.
Romney is sort of at a stuck situation. If he pays them the million then it is hilariously obvious that he is hiding something. But if he doesn't pay it gets released, and if he is hiding something then everyone will know. So if he is hiding something, its caught up to him.
If he is hiding something, I think the best action would be to just bite the bullet and release them.
I really dislike calling Anonymous, well, Anonymous. Most of the people who call themselves 'Anonymous' are /b/tards who call themselves that to feel like some kind of hacker/cool internet dude. However, there are people who are arguably part of Anonymous that actually know what they are doing and have a good amount of ability, and there are also people who do illegal/criminal actions like this and call themselves Anonymous just because it is an easy mantle to hide under. Thus, calling everyone who comes around Anonymous is a recipe for confusion.
Thus, calling everyone who comes around Anonymous is a recipe for confusion.
but that's the point of anonymous.

Big organizations can't comprehend splinter groups under a single name, and try to put the blame onto one thing. It's kinda a reason why were in the global war on terror right now.
So, if this is supposed to be transferred to bitcoins, how does this change the game?

hi not sure if it is legit but still
Fucking around with the Romney campaign I like this.
Fucking 22 million in 1 year? Wow.
The thing is, anyone could have made that with a blank tax form... Not sure if I can believe it.
if he actually pays it... he'll look so fucking bad and guilty.
if he actually pays it... he'll look so fucking bad and guilty.
It would be the three thousandth nail in the coffin.
if he actually pays it... he'll look so fucking bad and guilty.
Basically, its a Catch 22. If he pays out, he's going to look incredibly guilty and create a massive scandal around that. If he doesn't, then whatever he has been hiding will be revealed and will most likely create a scandal of its own.

Even if they do, the GOP's voter base will simply be led to believe that this is all a LIEBERAL conspiracy meant to frame Romney. So yeah, there could be a handwritten note written and signed by God Himself stating that Romney was ripping the U.S. Government off of every cent he could get his hands on and it really wouldn't change much at all at this point. Really, he could run butt naked through Time Square shouting racist remarks and people would still view him as better than the other guy.
his gross adjusted income IS 22 MILLION!? how do you even manage that
Scruffy wants to see derm papers...
I wish I were the one holding this above Romney. A million dollars and/or a chance to ruin him would be a dream come true.
If only Kickstarter would allow a campaign that funded extortion.
LOL his name is willard
lol if anyone thinks he's going to pay
You know what would be funny If the REAL scam of this was to get it so one guy's stockpile of Bitcoins suddenly jumped up in price (due to Bitcoins going into major media spotlight from this, even if it is totally fake), so the guy can sell the bitcoins he just bought and make shittons of cash. While also maybe getting extra money from people who "donate" bitcoins to him through his fake blackmail. Brilliant.
Watch this turn out to be a bluff.
I think it's more likely an attempt to crash bitcoins and get rich doing it.
I'm not so sure. I talked to someone about this and they had their opinion on it:
User: $1,000,000 = ~100,000 BTC User: we're at ~200,000 blocks User: ~10,000,000 BTC User: it's 1% of the market User: but that's frankly nothing
And regarding the previous Bitcoin depression:
User: Mt. Gox User: Yeah, that was User: back at about the 25,000th block User: and it was a few hundered thousand bitcoins iirc User: drove the price up to 25 USD/BTC User: Then dropped to below 1 USD
Personally I hardly know much about the Bitcoin market as it is and as it was.
Is there any news on this?
I really wonder who WOULDN'T call himself anonymous in a situation like this. And the article doesn't even refer to the hacktivism movement, so I'm thinking everyone here just directly relates someone being anonymous to being part of 'Anonymous'. It wasn't mentioned anywhere.
The difference is An annonymous group and the group Annonymous. The article seems to be able to tell them apart just fine to be honest.
Depends on what's in them. He's been pretty adamant about them not being released before.
Still doesn't matter, just like the birth certificate. It's just a tool by the opponents to sway opinions.
