"pointless three day delay. " Like most games?
i actually thought spore was very entertaining. and i think i'm the only one who thinks so. although attacking cities and watching the citizens run in agony as the sirens screamed wasn't so childish, the game itself felt childish. they should make a grittier, more realistic version of spore, and add more gameplay features to it if they ever do it, because even if (in my opinion) spore felt pretty damn balanced, they could've added a lot more into the game to make it more diverse and add more replayability to it. still, it's false to say that it didn't deliver most of what it promised. it was the first on its unique simulator genre, and was a very good example on how other games (if ever done) on that genre should be like. still, i'm derailing the thread, sorry.
I remember something about a grittier spore (oxymoron anyone?), think it was called darkspore or something similarly half-assed all I heard about spore when it was released was "hey this demo is neat" then "hey they sold 2 games for PC and literally everyone pirated it"

I hate how people say the M4 sound should be realistic. It should be if it's a simulator. This is not a simulator. It is a regular FPS.
Yeah the ending was pretty fucking weak, and is obvious seqal bait.
I'm calling it now: [sp]Conner somehow survived in some bullshit fashion, because why not[/sp]
seriously this is written by the guy who wrote red dawn? that's pathetic
i've heard that the story and multiplayer are the only remotely good things about this game.
So glad I didn't buy this game
So glad I didn't buy this game
So glad it was released in the US first so they could find out how bad it was before I bought it
I hear the story is nice though.
You who think this is a Call of Duty clone are dead wrong. The single player is unique, it's something I've never seen before. It has it's own feeling to it.

Hey guys, let me just make a review about a game mainly MP focused and make you not buy it just cause of it's SP.
Hey guys, let me just make a review about a game mainly MP focused and make you not buy it just cause of it's SP.
MP focused game that is a generic team vs team mp? Hmm
I'd finished it in 5hours (what STEAM says) I was very disappointed with the game. It had the chance to be something new and fresh to the FPS world but it wasn't it just tryed to copy the good from COD and BF. The campaign was nothing but a let down to me and it didn't make me really feel like resistance member.
MP focused game that is a generic team vs team mp? Hmm
An attempt to win Battlefield in it's own home court, yes.
Quite easy to tell that more money went into the marketing than the actual product.
Quite easy to tell that more money went into everything else than the SP. [editline]20th March 2011[/editline]
Hey guys, let me just make a review about a game mainly MP focused and make you not buy it just cause of it's SP.
Yes because it's totally not wrong or anything to charge 60$ for a lackluster campaign and then a mode equivalent to the developers shoving you in a play pen with the other kids with a few toys and expecting you guys to entertain yourselves without them having to do any actual work.
I never even heard of this game until a couple of days ago. I saw all these home front posters everywhere here thinking it was some new movie coming out. Googled it, and holy shit this game look god awful.
I remember being hyped about this game when I read about it in PC gamer (I think it was PC gamer at least). Kept telling us how it reminded them of Half Life. Not exactly I guess :saddowns:
This game really makes me wish that there was a sequel to Freedom Fighters. Perhaps after IO makes Hitman 5. I'd be happy if they just alternated between those two IP's forever. Each iteration bringing new gameplay dynamics and refining the previous ones. Stagnation is a problem with some game designs, but Hitman and Freedom Fighters have a story background that makes them heavily resistant to such problems. Hitman, already at iteration number 4, has proven that the IP can consistently draw gamers back in. But nooooo, they had to make Kane & Lynch. Fucking morons.
i still think the homefront story is awesome also the moral conflict shit actually conflicted me for once, instead of usual video games where they attempt to try but fail because of some dumb stupid reason like forcing it or moving on too quickly. this would probably be 10x better as a movie though. thats the problem with today and gaming, no one can seem to find a perfect blend of movie elements and game elements, Valve and naughty dog did it well (L4D 1 & 2, Half life 2 series, Uncharted 2, etc.)
Okay I watched the opening scene and I nearly fucking cried at the part where the little kid gets his parents killed infront of him
I've notice threw out the game, they really give you a lot of directions with "kill this" "follow this" "E this", it's like they dumb down the game, and act as if no one would know what to do. Got really annoying seeing "kill this" x4 and still there, after killing them.
Why go off on such a weird tangent, people finish the game at whatever time they finish I've never encountered someone that's gone "LOL YA I FINISHED ME2 IN LIKE 2.5 HOURS W/ MAX STUFF"
Go outside..... Im not joking but, Everyone that I know that are fans of games like theses say "Hurr I complete tha game in like 2 hours."
You who think this is a Call of Duty clone are dead wrong. The single player is unique, it's something I've never seen before. It has it's own feeling to it.
No, it really isn't. The story was kind of okay, but the gameplay is just a direct copy of MW2.
