The kid isn't being punished, they've attempted to resolve the issue and as it can't be resolved through normal mean so they're placing him in a special unit in the school which has specialised staff whom are trained to help students in his situation, and to try and resolve the situation in the long run.
Typical school shit, blame the victim not the people bullying them.

I'm a ginger and I never got bullied for being a ginger. I only even found out about this shit in the past year or so and I can't believe people do it. What the hell is wrong with kids sometimes, seriously? I'm so glad I'm out of mandatory education.

When I was a kid nobody gave a second thought about red hair. In fact, I never heard anybody called a "ginger" until grade 9, and I was really taken aback whenever I'd see kids insulting "gingers".
Like what the hell, um, why does everybody just laugh, I'd feel like a piece of shit if I insulted somebody because of the colour of their hair. How does that even make any sense, anyways, is it just some bandwagon shit because of south park doing an episode about it like 50 years ago.

I honestly don't get the hate for kids with red hair. Fuck sakes red hair is rare why is that something to make fun of? I think people only call people "Gingers" or taunt them because of their hair because they have insecurities of their own, and they take it out on the first person they see that's different.
