Illegal immigrants provide 8 billion dollars in income to Arizona alone a year. 12 million illegal immigrants int he US, the majority (over 80%) pay income tax, and all of them pay sales tax, while nearly half do not receive any sort of return or compensation for those taxes (last I knew over 60% do not receive social benefits from the government, and even more do not receive tax returns). Thanks to the cheap labor and ease of exploitation they provide, they also provide a large profit for businesses who employ them, and I think even conservatives will agree that having small businesses with more money will generally help everyone by stimulatng the economy, no? Mexico is so shit because of A) The US demand-fed drug war B) Politicians, mostly corrupt, who still control parts of Mexico that we put in place in the Cold War as a part of combating Cuban-Soviet influence C) Moving our private industry from Mexico to China D) Refusing to support international trade and labor standards that improve the economy of Mexico and the lives of Mexicans. So ya, it kinda is our fault, and illegal immigrants do help our economy far more than they hurt regardless of what conservatives will tell you.

Here's the issue. The immigration boom. Yeah, it happened. But a lot of those people came into this country legally. (What was considered legal at the time) What should be reminded. Both sides of my family came over during that time frame from Switzerland and Germany. Now, on to the issue. The issue in my view is this. I honestly do not care about illegal immigration under a few conditions. 1. They at least have a basic knowledge of the primarily spoken language of this country. 2. They come here and BE PRODUCTIVE. 3. They do not suck everything they can get then run back 'home'. I feel for some of these people that come here. I really do. They live in a shitty country that is being ransacked with violence. Each and every human being on this planet deserves the chance to live a happy and long life. However, illegal immigration is a double edged sword. It both benefits this country in some ways, and in many others harms it. However, you have some of these illegals who come here and suck our systems dry, then bail. Those people need to go. Those people need to be stopped - and sadly every person we catch trying to get over the border - we do not know their intention. They could be smuggling weapons, drugs, people. They could be out to make a better life or they could be out to make easy money - legally or criminally - to take back to their family. Some of these people have really harmed some of the structure of this nation - by taking out loans and never paying them back. (This is usually the banks fault, though, for allowing it.) Getting free health care and milking the system. and some of them have come here and helped us. They have become citizens eventually, and they are productive people.

They get a cut, or their kid is sick, whatever, they go to the emergency room, get the care they need, and then skip out on the bill...

All of the illegals need to be deported from America and permanently barred from any chances of getting citizenship.
