WaW is widely regarded to be CoD5 because it's the last one before Activi$ion turned MW into a sub-series.

I'd much prefer it if they actually took their time to make a COD game, maybe 2-3 years, and it be brilliant and original, rather than just releasing a carbon copy of the last game each year.

Well in Activisions infinite wisdom the concept of 'Too much too soon' doesn't apply plus doing it yearly means more cash quickly. They put that in their calculator and it gives them a happy face.

MW series is developed by IW while the other ones are by Treyarch. Each game takes 2 years.
