Here's a novel idea, why don't we make it easier to immigrate legally, so people don't have to come here illegally.
but then, more brown people would go to the US, and thats bad... because, whites should be the majority, also brown people smell!(the true reason of every extreme right-wing nutcase in the US). reminds of this video
Technically those people were British subjects.
So? The people who founded America were people who travelled to a country which didn't want them, and exploited the natives. If anything that's worse than modern day illegals, who usually take shitty jobs and work themselves into an early graves.
Because if we deny them one people cry that we're treating them unfairly.
If you deny them, you're preventing the people who want to be a legal citizen from being one. Attention should be directed toward those illegal immigrants who actively AVOID getting citizen status.
If you immigrate to this country legally, you become an American citizen.
Immigrating to America is one of the most bloated and slowest processes ever. As I said before, waiting in a warzone for the five or more years it takes to finally get a response could very much be the death of a huge number of immigrants who want to be legal citizens.

I understand the long process and agree is ridicules, but the warzone is out of our hands...
Yes, because I actually paid attention in school. I can tell you were trying to be funny when you made your post about America being founded by "legal" immigrants. But the fact of the matter is, they were colonists, not immigrants. British subjects who were fed up with unfair British rule and decided to split off from the British.
You're dense; they came into a country already inhabited by others and basically raped them and the land.
So? The people who founded America were people who travelled to a country which didn't want them, and exploited the natives.
Technically it wasn't a country, it was more or less a land mass. I'm not denying history or saying it was "okay" to throw the indians off of their land, ect. I'm just suggesting that people use the correct terms, otherwise it soudns like something it isn't.
If you deny them, you're preventing the people who want to be a legal citizen from being one.
Denying them a drivers license isn't preventing them from becoming citizens.
Eh, I would disagree with you there, but this isn't really the time or the place.
The colonies pretty much ran their own affairs, and stuff like the Tea tax actually reduced the price of tea.
And how is that our problem? I understand the long process and agree is ridicules, but the warzone is our of our hands...
Oh yeah, who cares about people living or dying, as long as they don't do in here in 'murrica. People dying is bad. If your country abides by the UN declaration of Human Rights, you should make every possible effort to give people who are both in your borders and those who want to live within your borders, the right to life that they deserve.
Legal immigration should be made easier and faster because it's an absolutely ridiculous process to get into the U.S legally. My parents were lucky that my grandma went to the U.S and remarried, her husband sponsored them and it still took a year just to get in. And that's from 1980's communist Poland. We owe everything to that man, he wasn't my real grandpa but to me he was.
*sniff* What smells like Glaber in here?
[sp]UziXxX is Glaber's alt.[/sp]
I don't blame people for trying to escape from the shit hole that is Mexico.
I don't blame people for trying to escape from the shit hole that is Mexico.
Sadly the only country that is both accessible and provides livable conditions is the worst one in the world for legally getting into.
Sadly the only country that is both accessible and provides livable conditions is the worst one in the world for legally getting into.
Tea Party members like Marco Rubio and Rand Paul are pushing for comprehensive immigration reform, and I for one, support them 100% as long as their ideas are rational.
Tea Party members like Marco Rubio and Rand Paul are pushing for comprehensive immigration reform, and I for one, support them 100% as long as their ideas are rational.
I'm sure the reform would be incredibly progressive.
Source: http://news.yahoo.com/pink-stripe-nc-illegal-immigrant-licenses-eyed-204800831.html I support this. We should be able to tell who is here illegally and who isn't. These people claim to be "scared"? Good, they should be. In any other country if you don't have your papers, they drive you to the border, or just throw you in jail. This entire illegal immigrant thing in the United States is getting out of hand. These people are crossing the boarder from Mexico and other countries, and then bitch at people saying, "We want our American rights!". They can have their rights as soon as they become legal citizens. I wish the president or the government would do something about this. If people who aren't citizens aren't pleased with what is being given to them, they can kindly get the fuck out or become citizens. They are entitled to nothing.
How are you any more entitled than them? Because you were born here?
I'm sure the reform would be incredibly progressive.
No, incredibly progressive reform would be who cares if they're illegal or not give them what ever they want because white people are racist Its funny because the tea party is totally smeared in the media, but in reality they're one of the leading factions going up against the republican party establishment. [editline]22nd February 2013[/editline]
How are you any more entitled than them? Because you were born here?
Because I'm not breaking the law

All I am saying is that what happens over there is a shame but if we got involved and started another war, the fucking world would get on our nuts for starting yet another war. It goes back and forth. Again it's a shame people are getting killed there and it's a shame our country ridiculously slow at processing, but what can we do? Like I said it's really out of our hands. [editline]22nd February 2013[/editline]
How are you any more entitled than them? Because you were born here?
Shitty answer. He is not breaking the law. If they want to come here, they have to understand the risks involved. Agreed, they did not choose to be born into what they have now, but coming here illegally isn't the answer either.
No, incredibly progressive reform would be who cares if they're illegal or not give them what ever they want because white people are racist
Words fail me. The answer to this problem is to streamline the entire process so that it doesn't take FIVE YEARS for a response. Given the Tea Party's track record, their idea of a reform would probably be shutting down the borders, purging everyone not rich and white, and starting from scratch. You shouldn't be giving them what they want, you should be giving them what they DESERVE, namely a home away from risk of death and the same rights as anyone else who lives in the US.
Given the Tea Party's track record, their idea of a reform would probably be shutting down the borders, purging everyone not rich and white, and starting from scratch.
The level of ignorance is palpable. Are you aware that one of the leaders of the tea party is Marco Rubio, a latino, son of Cuban immigrants?

They shouldn't be damned for taking the only course of action they can take. No money? Stay there and die. Wrong paperwork? Stay there and die. Made to wait five years? Well, you were going to get in, but you got butchered by the Zetas before the news reached you. Unlucky!
The level of ignorance is palpable.
I know right? Cause everybody in the US who is white is some racist, all race hating rich person who wants everyone out of the country who is not like them.
Is this supposed to be a joke?
What is a joke is the democrats, republicans, and Barack Obama have done nothing about immigration.
Because I'm not breaking the law
So you're deserving of human rights because the law says so because the law the LAW. You're avoiding the question instead of making any point against the implication that you are a terrible selfish person with no sense of what it means to care. Oh wait, you care if the law tells you to.

We have shitty fucking scumbags in office that are in charge of these issues. Trust me I don't want people to die trying to reach here to live their dream. I don't know if you have noticed though, our country is full of powerful political monkeys who think they know what's best. Clearly they don't.

It's like you're completely ignoring the fact that the native americans owned the land because "they weren't a country". No fucking shit they weren't a country, they didn't know any of the new settlers who came to play. How were they supposed to have a compatible poilitical and monetary system if they didn't even know europe existed?
