It's not a secret to have a TSC.
When I got mine they told me not to brag about it...
I still think it's fucked up that your country spies on people from other countries for no reason.
No reason?
I sent for mine a while back, as it turns out they have every single post I've ever made on Facepunch, including all of my alts, and all of the deleted posts from the archive days. My file is several thousand pages. The worst part is, I have no fucking idea why. It didn't say why either, just investigation ongoing.
Can you quote something from your file for us?
No reason?
Not "no reason", but the reason isn't (just) anti-terrorism either. The UK is doing it too.
I'm Arab so they most likely watch me more then everybody. If I had a computer I'll check my file.
They might also be watching you because you like to incite riots and violence
I plan on doing this, as an American, and it costs nothing to me.
Do you have to be 18?

I remember requesting information about experimental weapons, the former Soviet Military, and projected casualties from a nuclear strike on Illinois from the Department of Defense my freshmen year of high school. I also have lots of radical literature such as Abbie Hoffman's Steal This Book (which contains info on making certain explosives and how to organize a revolution) and Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals (which contains info on how to organize to bring change/revolution). They probably have a file on me, I'll send the FOIA form tomorrow!
I'm really fucking tempted to do a data-pull on this just to see what they have on me :v: They probably know/think I'm a complete fucking socialist/communist by now
I'm excited to see if they have anything on me because then it proves that I have a good reason to be paranoid.
I'm excited to see if they have anything on me because then it proves that I have a good reason to be paranoid.
But you're Canadian. You need to be a US citizen.
But you're Canadian. You need to be a US citizen.
FYI, US Citizens can visit and/or live in Canada.
Think I should do it? I think I may actually have a somewhat decent chance of having something on there. Probably not, but a couple of months ago I was questioned by my school's principal and was apparently almost arrested because I made a sarcastic comment that was interpreted by one of my teachers as a threat. Funny thing about him, before that even he contacted my school counseler once because he was concerned that I had said that Hitler wan't a terrible artist.
This will take me five minutes to do, I'll do it first thing in the morning. [editline]30th June 2013[/editline]
No it's not. If it was it would've been revoked ages ago considering it's on my resume that's accessible at a great number of job sites. Now, if I started spilling information that my clearance granted me access to, then yes it would be revoked and I'd most likely end up in jail.
What does a person do to acquire such clearance?

[editline]30th June 2013[/editline] What does a person do to acquire such clearance?
You have to be working somewhere and in a position that requires you to handle classified information or equipment that contains classified information. You can't just go out and get one willy-nilly.
You have to be working somewhere and in a position that requires you to handle classified information or equipment that contains classified information. You can't just go out and get one willy-nilly.
I figured, I wanted to hear your story :v:
I'm honestly too afraid to do this. I hate having still photos/records/journals about my past without me knowing.
You have to be working somewhere and in a position that requires you to handle classified information or equipment that contains classified information. You can't just go out and get one willy-nilly.
Well actually, if you pay for the background checks and all, you probably can get a clearance just like that, but it's kinda really expensive in the US.
I thought they probably wouldn't have anything on me. But then I noticed my username.
For the FBI - Fill out this extremely short form and then print it to sign it. - Scan it, and send it to this email as an attachment: foiparequest@ic.fbi.gov with "Privacy Act request" as the subject
Before I start sending people my social security number how can I be sure that this is a legit email address? [editline]30th June 2013[/editline] Never mind, I verified it through a few different government websites.
Isn't asking for your file enough of a reason for them to start one on you? I mean if they really are as thorough as people describe.
Damn, I said "im going to assassinate obama, YEAH FBI! COME AND GET ME" on newgrounds so I bet they got me pegged.
Oh dicks, British citizen living in the USA.
I'm scared to request for a file because it might prompt them to make a file of me I did download gigabytes of military training books and weapons knowledge. It might be really interesting to note what they have on me
Gonna mail this out tomorrow. Will report back
Well actually, if you pay for the background checks and all, you probably can get a clearance just like that, but it's kinda really expensive in the US.
No, you can't get them yourself. The company you're working for has to get them and they have to prove a valid need for it. And yes, they are fucking expensive. Typically between $5,000 to $25,000 depending on what level you need.
