This will be very interesting. I'll probably post snippets of anything interesting that comes back. [editline]30th June 2013[/editline] I went to China, so maybe they'll actually have something on me.
Damn, I said "im going to assassinate obama, YEAH FBI! COME AND GET ME" on newgrounds so I bet they got me pegged.
I've said that on the official White House page, I have not received any notice.
No reason?
Yeah, exactly no reason. The fact that you guys can sit here and joke about it is incredible. It really shows how shit the situation has become when you are not even ashamed of your country's foreign policy. Don't get me wrong, I love the patriot. But what happens when what you're defending is just wrong.
I used to be extremely politically active here in Norway. In fact I was speaker for the youth wing of the party 'Left' in my region. I'm also an American citizen. Think there's a file on me?
I'm disappointed nobody has posted their file (If they have one) just a bunch of joking files.
I'm disappointed nobody has posted their file (If they have one) just a bunch of joking files.
You're gonna have to wait several months.
Well I just sent in my request so I'll see you guys in a few months. :D
You're gonna have to wait several months.
Make a thread in the GD when stuff starts coming in. It'll be thread of 2013, for sure.

I sent in my request simply because I've done an ass ton of international traveling, I was relocated to Greece due to my dad's job and he is a Federal Employee. I'm sure I have a few records at least; especially since I've been fairly politically outspoken, we'll see though. :v:
Yeah, I hope you guys are ready for a wait. I requested to have my army medical files reviewed so that I could qualify for medical care under the Department of Veteran's affairs. It took over two years for them to just send me a form letter admitting that they'd lost my file. [editline]1st July 2013[/editline] I'm sure there's a file on me out there. I'm former military intelligence with a Top Secret security clearance, and was heavily involved in the founding of a national veteran's charity organization. I'd be surprised as heck if there weren't a few pages on me somewhere! I doubt I was ever followed around, but given my background I'm sure there is at least a report out there. I'd also be surprised as heck if they didn't "lose" my files!

I second everything BDA says about waiting. Non-employee civilian requests get basically the lowest priority in an already convoluted and slow system.

I've been out since Summer of 2011, and my clearance was first approved in 2009.
I'm disappointed nobody has posted their file (If they have one) just a bunch of joking files.
it takes ages to get a response
I'm 100% positive they have something on me. I did the same kind of shit that LoL kid did and I got questioned by two agents.. I'm pretty sure they are watching me right now..
s
Here's the site you can use that does that for you, using specific keywords that trigger the NSA's system.
Yeah, I can see more reasons for some institution to get interested into you than just the catchphrases.

I'd lol if they said they couldnt give you a record due to you being under investigation.
I'm only 17 so I doubt there's anything for me... I've never filled out a form asking citizenship status though, I'm a US citizen so I'd just put 'U.S.A.', right?
I might send in for a file. I've done a bit of college activism, although I doubt the NSA is afraid of a male feminist/ally :v: . Mom thinks the CIA might have a file on her too, because our family is Eastern Orthodox and she studied Russian in college. Rumor is the latter was a surefire way to get spied on in the 70s. Not to mention, my great-aunts/uncles use to say that their home phones made clicking sounds because the CIA was tapping into their calls :v: .
Our (Dutch) intelligence service only hands out information which is older than 5 years. Go transparency!

For one, the NSA enjoys special exemptions so your request will likely be denied with smugness

Read the OP:
This wasn't directed at you, this is to show people not to bother with NSA ... Sorry if I made it seem like this was directed towards you.
I did the FBI thing June 30th and on July 2nd I got an email requesting for my address. I sent it to them and on the 8th they responded and told me that they were working on it. If anything interesting pops up and it's not harmful to me I'll share it with you guys.

holy shit i want to see what the fbi have on people
Has anyone received a rejection notice from the FBI? Even though I expected nothing from the NSA, I still sent a request anyways and got a rejection notice around a week later. Generally, if you don't have a FBI file on you they'd respond back within a few weeks saying they have nothing on you. If you haven't got one back by now (assuming you sent a request when I did), then that most likely means you have a file on you and are reviewing/redacting it before release which could take an additional few months depending on how large your file is. Post below if you did or did not. It's been 3 months and I haven't receieved my rejection notice. If at least one person already got a FBI rejection letter, then that means for those who haven't, there is most likely a file out there, assuming you sent it around the same time as the OP.
