S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat Screenshots Compare DirectX 10 to DirectX 11

Really, just a better dithering of shadows?
This is fucking disappointing.

I think they're gonna stop using the X-Ray engine after Call of Pripyat. That, or seriously optimize it for STALKER 2.

CoP is not out yet.
They have a different project manager since Clear Sky and SoC.
Don't judge a book by it's cover. :v:
I saw minor differences between the screens, like, Dx11 looks darker and shadows looks a little bit more real and more detailed. The tessellation is very cool anyway, I really liked it :D
the lighting is far more natural
Maybe, let's hear some news about how there'll be less bugs, then I'll be leaping for joy over this.

This is the only thing i really saw, and bugs are part of stalker. :3:
Will the HD4000 series be able to support DX11? Or is it likr DX10? I've heard little about compatibility.

if you've been in the hard and software forum recently you would've seen that 4000 has 10 support and the 5000 series is the first with 11 support.
It's just a cosmetic difference, no one will notice while playing the game.
Wrong, wrong and wrong again. Have you tried playing clear sky unmodded, then playing it using all the SHARPER and improved weather mods, if you try to say the difference is unnoticable after comparing them you are entirely wrong and are lieing.
Devs at GSC need to get it through their head that an engine with great graphics that runs smoothly is more important than an engine with amazing graphics that crashes all the time. I'd imagine they'd know this already seeing as Clear Sky was impossible to play without getting any moderate bugs.
I can see lighting and (fake) shadow improvements.
Also improved tesselation, looks smooth as fuck.

Because weather=shadows.
I'm still in DX7..
It does look a smidge better, but nothing worthy of a new card. Not until you need one at least.
