Where does all the money come from anyway
Tax and state-run business.
Don't forget that in building the Olympic park we've redeveloped a vast area of London which after the games is going to be usable again. It's not a one off spend. Money has also gone into upgrading an improving transport etc so that's a plus too.
Priorities.
We need to examine ours.

Lots of people are using that one but I don't buy that argument at all.
Stratford was the last major undeveloped site in London. With the kind of transport links it has to the city, it was going to get developed no matter what. The fact that so many companies/consortiums/groups/sports teams etc bidto buy it after the olympics are gone shows this.

Yeah. Instead of the Olympics and the Third World War that we're funding, we could have cured diabetes, AIDS and cancer, and have had a planetary peace treaty.

So the answer to curing disease is to throw staggering amounts of money at it?
South Park was right!
I don't care.
Anything else happen today? I've got sport to watch.
