Sorry that I don't support a company that sues anything with innovation.
wha... man you're using windows what the fuck
So how did Apple manage to get the price of IPS low? Just curious. I think it's a damn shame IPS did not catch on earlier, I mean TN panels are worse than allot of CRT's...which are supposed to be the obsolete.
You do realize Android does infringe on patents right? It's a fact, not up for debate. That's why so many OEMs are glad Microsoft is willing to licence instead of sue, and why they'll pay MS $15 for every device they sell. Nowhere in the definition of innovate does it mention infringe.
Do elaborate.
wha... man you're using windows what the fuck
I don't know why all these open source warriors run Windows either. I thought they would all run Linux but apparently not. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Do elaborate.
I did elaborate. Can you read? If Android didn't infringe on patents companies wouldn't pay MS money to licence so that they don't get sued. Nobody pays a company money for no reason, and it happens that MS collects money on 55% of Android sales worldwide.
Don't use iOS. You don't have that trouble.
Sure, give me $500 to buy a new phone.

You are right that IPS prices are lower than in the past, but for really high res ones they're still expensive. It's very likely the profit margin on the iPad HD is lower than previous models, at least for the moment while display and SoC production ramps up.
I don't know why all these open source warriors run Windows either. I thought they would all run Linux but apparently not.
No, Linux on the desktop is in the saddest state ever, less than 1% market share IIRC, statistic was from 2011 and included mobile (not including Android as Linux). Without programs, who cares about open source and ideals?
I jailbroke my brother's 5.0.1 iPod Touch 4th Gen when it came out, it works fine and neither of us have noticed any issues. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline] That's funny because people have been paying $700 for resolutions like that on IPS computer monitors for a long time now.
Maybe it's just because I'm an iPhone 3GS. Even on stock iOS 5.0.1 it feels like the CPU usage is constantly maxed out..and if I jailbreak it, my theory is indeed correct - I have a load average of like 3.47, 2.23, 2.50 or something along those lines.
Sure, give me $500 to buy a new phone.
Just paid 200 for my SGSII. Apple is the one inflating prices.

Without programs, who cares about open source and ideals?
That's my point. None of these people give a fuck about open source. It's just a shield they hide behind to mask the fact that they just blindly hate MS and Apple.
Just paid 200 for my SGSII. Apple is the one inflating prices.
That's on contract
That's on contract
And? iPhone 4S is roughly the same price.
I can get a 4S for 200 with decent storage.
Maybe it's just because I'm an iPhone 3GS. Apple will typically update a device for three years which is pretty good. By that point you'll be able to upgrade even in countries like Canada with our 3 year "agreements".
How is MS's support on Windows Phones? Do they get the Android shaft of never getting updates due to complicated BS or is it like Apples where it's roughly 3 years?
I can get a 4S for 200 with decent storage.
16 gigs on my SGSII with a 32 gig class 10 SD card... superior hardware and OS with open source support. I'd rather have that than Apple's bullshit.
16 gigs on my SGSII with a 32 gig class 10 SD card... superior hardware and OS with open source support. [editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
How is MS's support on Windows Phones? Every device has the update.
16 gigs on my SGSII with a 32 gig class 10 SD card... superior hardware and OS with open source support. I'd rather have that than Apple's bullshit.
Between my 500 songs and a few apps I'm not using more than 10gb on my Xoom. Haven't even used an SD card yet. Not everyone needs lots of storage, and I find higher storage and expandable memory to be more of a dickwaving utensil than an actual necessity. I don't even know why I got the 32GB iPod, I don't even fill up a quarter of it.
You don't really care about open source one bit, stop with the smokescreen bullshit faze.
What are you basing this on?
What are you basing this on?
If you really cared so much about open source software and innovation you wouldn't be running Windows 7. Microsoft does the same things Apple does with their openness and their lawsuits against other companies.
What are you basing this on?
Open source is not a feature. If you use open source as a feature that means you pulled down the AOSP code and wrote your own shit. I don't think you did.
16 gigs on my SGSII with a 32 gig class 10 SD card... superior hardware and OS with open source support. I'd rather have that than Apple's bullshit.
Android isn't a superior OS, it's just much more customizable. Some things are better in iOS, some things are better in Android, but what matters most is what the user prefers
If you really cared so much about open source software and innovation you wouldn't be running Windows 7. Unfortunately Steam hasn't released a Linux client yet.
Windows runs Steam which I use for gaming. Unfortunately Steam hasn't released a Linux client yet.
That's unfortunate. I'm assuming you just play old Id games like the old Doom and Quake? I mean, I would hope an open source warrior such as yourself would make sure that their games have been made open source as well, to make up for using a closed source OS by a lawsuit happy company. Also that wouldn't happen to be an Xbox Live gamertag link under your avatar would it? The Xbox 360 is notoriously locked down. What's the explanation for that?
Faze please stop thread shitting. Its embarrassing seeing you doing it in your own bloody thread. Just stop. Go back to posting non-apple/android news threads.
-Snip, automerge fail. I apologize-
Funny how when a non-Apple device boasts technical specs, it's not considered revolutionary, but when Apple does it, it is.
Well obviously Apple executives (such as Phil Schiller who you have quoted) are going to praise their products like this. Nobody else is claiming that the wireless bands are revolutionary.
Yeah now that Windows Phone is blossoming, it may soon be the next Android, as in the OS that runs on more than one OEM (unlike iOS) and actually has a decent market share. Android just isn't cutting it. Despite the technical superiority of the Galaxy Nexus, the battery life is abysmal, and the android phones with good battery life either don't have ICS or have some glaring flaw the Galaxy Nexus doesn't have.
I got to thinking. If open source is a good thing, for Android that is, and enables custom ROMs and the like... When you need to develop ROMs to increase performance, doesn't that point out a huge flaw in android? The extra features provided by a custom ROM only add so much to the "benefits" of open source, which open source appears to be an excuse to rely on others for a better product. P.s posted from windows phone.
