Jailbroke my iPhone a year ago, use it every day, never had a single crash. Friend has a Galaxy S, crashes at least 3 times a day. [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] My friend's HTC [insert name here] crashes when you swipe your finger around the screen for a few seconds.
My stock Ipod touch crashes every five seconds. My galaxy s never crashes [editline]7th March 2012[/editline]
I got to thinking. If open source is a good thing, for Android that is, and enables custom ROMs and the like... When you need to develop ROMs to increase performance, doesn't that point out a huge flaw in android? The extra features provided by a custom ROM only add so much to the "benefits" of open source, which open source appears to be an excuse to rely on others for a better product. P.s posted from windows phone.
That's not flaw in android that's flaw in stock Rom's which are made by the phone developers
Probably the worst thing about Android is that you always have to wait for the hardware providers to update the software. For a period of time my device was going to get ICS, but now it's not now, because Samsung has decided to release a new phone that makes mine obsolete, even with moderate specs.
Well at least they slashed the prices of the iPad 2 so maybe I can finally get one.
My stock Ipod touch crashes every five seconds. My galaxy s never crashes
That's nothing but anecdotal evidence. iOS is generally more stable than Android. Hell the 4.0.2 update for the Canadian Galaxy Nexus caused the market to crash. I had lots of people coming into the store and they weren't too happy that they needed to factory reset their phones to fix it.

Really don't give a damn over which OS. Android was more customizable, because of course im staring at the UI for infinity. And iOS is much faster for me. but i'm not doing that many games and the like so I don't really care. I seriously would wish apple released two iphone models of different sizes. I would love something like a galaxy note as an iOS device.
Nice resolution
I want a combination between androids dynamic and "smooth"ness and with metros clean look. COPYRIGHT! PATENT! TRADEMARK!

It's quite nice and smooth. Statusbar can also be replaced with the winphone7-ish statusbar

Most open source software is good and often near flawless (Firefox, Chrome(ium)) [editline]7th March 2012[/editline] Consistency has been Google's issue in the past year or so.
A very slight lag I'll take over a totally locked down OS.
You are the real definition of a fanboy, aren't you? [editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
Windows runs Steam which I use for gaming. Unfortunately Steam hasn't released a Linux client yet.
I guess you use chrome's source code to build on chrome to make it more better and easy? Well I'm just going by your argument if you could sent me your working custom build I'd be most delighted to try it out and then later put the thing in the recycle bin.
Screen is still far from retina display
You really haven't proven anything. Being 'open source' has got to be the most useless argument I've ever heard. No average person or small time techie bothers to edit the software that powers the operating system of their tablet or computer. That, and Android itself isn't really open source The Linux core may be, but most of the stuff that makes Android Android is closed source along with proprietary software depending on the device, like HTC sense. There's a reason why Apple has to apply to courts for Android code in lawsuits, because that part isn't available to everyone. You will never see the source code from Android 3 and up unless google starts to feel really generous. Tablet's really aren't limited by their software or operating system. Both can be jailbroken/rooted to allow for third party applications on the stock OS. The reality is that a iOS tablets can do almost everything Android tablets can do. There may be a few things a Techie could put on their tablets, but there's nothing your average user can't accomplish on either one. It's all a matter of choice and which Operating system you prefer. And the reality is, the iPad is one of the best, if not the best delivery of a tablet experience. I'd love to see that change, just because of their horrid pricing scheme, but there's no reason to hate iOS or the iPad, not yet anyways. Android tablets come just as locked down as iOS tablets, and both suck until you jailbreak/root them for the best experience. I welcome the iPad 3 just because of that display. A screen more complex than what your eye can see is incredible. Especially at that size.
http://source.android.com/source/index.html And you can install custom apps on an android tablet without a load of fuck-about. (menu, check non-market apps) so you are wrong basicly [editline]8th March 2012[/editline]
You are the real definition of a fanboy, aren't you? Just because you made no modifications it doesn't mean that someone else hasn't made one, one that even could have been merged into the main project.
What do you guys think of the size of the new iPad? Do you guys care that it is slightly thicker & heavier? I think it's an appropriate compromise for the display & 4G. Is anyone annoyed that there is "only" a dual core processor?
There were tablets out before the iPad
But Apple undeniably popularized it.
Just before it played an ad for the Samsung galaxy tab came up
Wouldn't a screen like that consume the battery fast?
Wouldn't a screen like that consume the battery fast?
They more than doubled the batteries capacity. Why is it fine for Apple to dp this, yet I see iTards moaning about the bumped battery on the droid razer max. Apparently it isnt innovative or a proper solution.
i'm sure the "iTards" have a good reason
i dont get one thing, Apple is advertising Videocalling on tablets/phones and they still keep puting better camera on back of ipad, who needs that? I think that in front it will be much more usefull.

You realise there is a camera on the front and back, right?
I think it'd be more useful seeing the screen when you're taking pictures instead of the back of your iPad? 2048x1536 in a 10" screen at $399 is really impressive. Hope this helps push higher DPI in desktop displays.
2048x1536 in a 10" screen at $399 is really impressive. Hope this helps push higher DPI in desktop displays.
A few already exist, but they cost a truckload of money.
To all those saying this hardware would be better with win7/win8 instead of iOs... get out There are no programs / apps for windows mobile that make use of so much processing power.. Heck I think I can count the good windows mobile phones on one hand...... On the AppStore on the other hand it's full of great games and applications that can use all this processing power.
Dont you get only ipad 2 with 1024x768 for 399$ ?
Yeah, the new iPad costs $499

You still get quicker load/boot times and apps will become demanding when the hardware is powerful enough. For all you know Adobe could release Photoshop on the windows 8 market - then you'd need processing power.

Just 1
Now with 5 minutes of battery life. Its a feature.
