His people clarified that he meant voting for him as the way to stop her, not violence. I honestly feel a little bad for his staff for having to continuously clarify what he says. However, they can add "Fluent in Trump" to their list of foreign languages on their resume now....
The "second amendment people" could only act after she has picked her judges and presumably had them confirmed by Congress, well after the vote. That's not clarification that's spin :v:
if you guys close your eyes and concentrate, you can hear the bloodcurdling scream & wailing from paul ryan

Reality trumps fantasy, I suppose.
Guys, this is just the leftists once again misrepresenting what he's actually saying; he's telling the 2nd amendment people (which includes every US citizen, because they're all covered by the constitution!) to VOTE. Not violence, just voting. Definitely. He's not suggesting that the people rise up to make sure that Clinton can't appoint judges. Definitely not. He's a very smart guy. Real smart. Loads of people have called and told me that - he's very smart is all I'm saying.
cool. ban him from the race and charge him with terrorist threats, please
I should clarify to the Trump staff that I was actually joking when I wrote this. Reality trumps fantasy, I suppose.
Thanks for that clarification. Poe's Law was in full effect, I genuinely couldn't tell if it was honest support or really good satire.
I mean this is pretty indefensible but it does seem that we've had a sudden lack of Trump supporters here, and I remember there being at-least three-four that were active around the place only a few weeks ago. I miss the debates to be honest, in some sick twisted way.
They all got banned for shitposting, though I admit I do kind of want to put together a collage of all the insane posts they've made for election day when their golden boy gets trounced.
Does this apply? 18 U.S.C. § 879 : US Code - Section 879: Threats against former Presidents and certain other persons
(a) Whoever knowingly and willfully threatens to kill, kidnap, or inflict bodily harm upon - (1) a former President or a member of the immediate family of a former President; (3) a major candidate for the office of President or Vice President, or a member of the immediate family of such candidate; shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 5 years, or both.

it's even dumber if he planned this because that means he expects it to pay off instead of just, you know, make him look like an idiot
more like he realized how shit being president would actually be and is trying to bomb out without conceding [editline]9th August 2016[/editline]
Thanks for that clarification. Poe's Law was in full effect, I genuinely couldn't tell if it was honest support or really good satire.
the depressing thing is that it is close enough to what some real suppoters say for that to be considered really good satire
I bet he said this on purpose. I bet he still believes his controversial remarks are his ace in the hole
The "second amendment people" could only act after she has picked her judges and presumably had them confirmed by Congress, well after the vote. That's not clarification that's spin :v:
So the "second amendment people" can't act by voting for Trump instead of Clinton? I know the dude speaks like a child who just learned English, but claiming that he's calling for violence is just as much spin as what his staffers said.
So the "second amendment people" can't act by voting for Trump instead of Clinton? I know the dude speaks like a child who just learned English, but claiming that he's calling for violence is just as much spin as what his staffers said.
It doesn't make any sense, though. Why would the "2nd amendment people" specifically be able to do something about this by voting? Just listen to what the guy is saying, the whole premise is that Clinton is already voted in, otherwise she wouldn't be able to appoint a supreme court judge. Trump didn't leave enough vagueness in this statement to make it plausible that he said something not-terrible. His staff is just doing damage control for the millionth time this week.
So the "second amendment people" can't act by voting for Trump instead of Clinton? I know the dude speaks like a child who just learned English, but claiming that he's calling for violence is just as much spin as what his staffers said.

“If she gets to pick her judges, nothing you can do, folks,” Mr. Trump said, as the crowd began to boo. He quickly added: “Although the Second Amendment people — maybe there is, I don’t know.”
Bolded sets up the scenario. If she is in power as president then she gets to nominate judges and no one can stop her. Put aside the fact that Congress can stop her but then he goes on to say italicized, implying that no one can stop her but second amendment people. It's not a direct call for violence but it's really difficult to interpret it as anything else other than implying "second amendment people" are the only ones capable of stopping Hillary's judicial tyranny. Here is their """""clarification""""""
The Trump campaign released a statement insisting opaquely that Mr. Trump had been referring to the “power of unification.” “Second Amendment people have amazing spirit and are tremendously unified, which gives them great political power,” said Mr. Trump’s spokesman, Jason Miller. “And this year, they will be voting in record numbers, and it won’t be for Hillary Clinton, it will be for Donald Trump.”
Nothing he could possibly be interpreted as anywhere in the ballpark of "voting" or "unification". It's complete horseshit damage control from a staff that has absolutely dug through the bottom of the barrel excusing Trump's stupidity.
Thanks for that clarification. Poe's Law was in full effect, I genuinely couldn't tell if it was honest support or really good satire.
There appears to be a big overlap between satire and reality these days.
why would he say "i don't know" if he was implying they should vote, and why would he single out "the second amendment people" specifically, and why did his crowd react like he just said something shocking or funny
Aight, either he meant to say something like "better not vote for Hillary before she puts Feinstein into the supreme court or something" and phrased it EXTREMELY badly, or he's officially gone off the deepest end like holy shit the Mariana Trench has got nothing on this crazy motherfucker
The Second Amendment has literally nothing to do with voting. That's one hell of a backpeddle they have going there.
Yeah because the NRA, which is all about the second amendment, isn't one of the most well known lobbying organizations.
Trump acting like a babbling buffoon? Nothing new.
Embarrassing he keeps losing to the most beatable candidate there is

I know the dude speaks like a child who just learned English, but claiming that he's calling for violence is just as much spin as what his staffers said.
If you think he's implying that people can act just by voting Trump, how does that have anything to do with "second amendment people" aka gun owners? I'm usually the first person to point out when the media goes too far with the anti-Trump spin, but this is insanity. He's very clearly implying that gun owners specifically have the power to fight back against Hillary's method of governing. There's no other interpretation to be had here, imo.
As dumb as it was to say, I don't think he can be held criminally liable for it. They are probably acknowledging it so they will stop receiving a bombardment of tips :v:
Even though Trump basically just encouraged violence against her, I bet Hillary is feeling pretty satisfied that her opponent is completely self-destructing.
Even though Trump basically just encouraged violence against her, I bet Hillary is feeling pretty satisfied that her opponent is completely self-destructing.
With the amount of security around the Clinton family, she's more likely to be throwing a celebratory party right now rather than feeling any inkling of fear for her life. I'm really excited for the autopsy of this campaign that will surely follow in the next few years, because it's starting to look like Trump may actually be throwing the campaign. This is a level of stupidity and ignorance to polling that I didn't think was possible, even for Trump.
Even though Trump basically just encouraged violence against her, I bet Hillary is feeling pretty satisfied that her opponent is completely self-destructing.
I feel bad for his campaign staff. I bet they haven't slept in a week for fear of him saying something stupid while they sleep
They all got banned for shitposting, though I admit I do kind of want to put together a collage of all the insane posts they've made for election day when their golden boy gets trounced.
I've been wanting to do that since the beginning of the race, it'd be hilarious to see Wystan's, JohnFischer's, and FWL's shitposts plastered next to the election results, especially if Clinton wins in a landslide. :v:
I feel bad for his campaign staff.
It's just Trump's endless game of 7-dimensional chess, obviously. It's all part of his master plan to put Crooked Hillary™ in her place! MAGA!!!!!
I'm honestly starting to get confused by this 8-dimensional chess game he's got going on. I'm not sure if he's stabbing himself in the back, shooting himself in the foot, or using some kind of voodoo magic to transfer the effects of these gaffes to Clinton. Whatever it is, I don't think it's a game the world was ready for.
cool. ban him from the race and charge him with terrorist threats, please
Hillary probably should be charged with all the shit she has pulled as well. Also obligatory "This Will Be The End Of Trump’s Campaign,’ Says Increasingly Nervous Man For Seventh Time This Year"
"i wonder if trump said something today" [t]http://i.imgur.com/yhpu9Qj.png[/t] "oh" yeah trump can go ultra-fuck himself.
