Microsoft on the possibility of Nintendo putting Banjo or other Rare IPs in Smash: "Sure, go ahead."

While Bungie did come out and say they were making a DS Halo game, they also said the game that IGN showed wasn't it.
I wonder if this means Pierce Brosnan will be a character in Smash
Bungie was even planning a DS Halo game.
If there are ever going to be future plans on releasing a Halo game for a DS handheld, post-New3DS era would likely be the best time to release one especially since that handheld has two joysticks, which would be perfect for moving around and looking around.

Sonic.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft tries to sell off the Rareware IPs in the near future.
I'm not a big fan of Nintendo these days but they would probably do better with Rare IPs than Microsoft has been doing.
I wonder how Nintendo would approach Conker.

Choosing between B.K. and Snake is a hard decision.
Snake already had his hour. Give someone else a go.
Shit I wished I voted for B.K now

You can submit more than 1 character, they just tell you not to.
Most people have more than 1 character they want in: I personally want Crash, Spyro and all the Sonic sidekicks in the game.
Having Snake again would be awesome, but he's already been in Smash. Banjo would be totally new and I guaran-fucking-tee that it would turn more than a few heads.
if banjo has added to Sm4sh people would scream with joy and every Banjo fanboy would die

God I wish we got another Crash game now. A good one, not that Crash of the Titans shit.

From what I've seen, the Titans-era games were legitimately funny and possibly even decent games in their own right (if you watched the making-ofs, the creators did put a lot of genuine passion into them), they just... weren't Crash games. They probably would've done better as a whole new IP rather than wear the Crash name.
Crash has a formula: crates, certain collectibles, the "warp room" level structure, and a specific moveset. Even Twinsanity followed it for the most part. Everything made after that, though? Not Crash.

You know, I could actually see a collaboration between Microsoft and Nintendo on making a Rare game. Microsoft could like have a Nintendo studio develop a title and then have it just be exclusive to both the Wii U and Xbox. I could see that happening.

They recently allowed DK64 on the Wii U virtual console with everything Rareware intact so...
Have we all forgotten about Jet Force Gemini?

Ah yes, Rare's "James Bond" IP.

Unfortunately, Microsoft isn't entirely to blame. Nor is Nintendo. Most of the talent at rare left prior to being sold to Microsoft. People like to equate MS Studios with EA and say that Microsoft bought them, fired everyone, and made them pump out Kinect games, but truthfully there was simply no talent left at rare for them to produce anything worthwhile. All that's left at Rare is IPs, and I think it would be a better decision to disband rare altogether, sell the IPs back to Nintendo, who could then either find the original Rare devs, or find equally creative and talented devs to take on the IPs, which is essentially how Rare got Donkey Kong in the first place; Nintendo thought rare had talent so they gave it to them.
