why is everyone like "this is the worst thing ever," there's definitely been some stupid shit but there's also been some great speakers (like booker right now) Did any of you see the RNC??
the RNC was bad, yes. but you simply cannot compare the crowds of the two. the DNC crowd is completely ticked off
Cory Booker's speech isn't so bad.
IF YOU DON'T LOVE ME YOU'RE A RACIST BIGOT
i didnt think anyone was going to top rudy giuliani in terms of ridiculous-ness but sarah silverman takes the cake
Jeez. I dunno if it's my biases as a more conservative guy, but these grand callbacks to the founding fathers and the moon landing always sound really forced when used in speeches by leftist politicians.
Make America Mexico Otra Vez
What's your major beef with them appealing to a large demographic of theirs.
Booker for prez 2020 Trump for Prez 2016.
What's your major beef with them appealing to a large demographic of theirs.
I explained it in an earlier post
Cory Booker's speech isn't so bad.
his speech is good, but he is only attacking donald trump to make hillary look good. in the end of the day though, there was once a time that hillary was against gay marriage. Bernie was far more fitting for this speech
I just landed from a five hour flight without internet but with access to CNN. The last thing I expected was for you guys to react more negatively to tonight's speeches than the RNC's stuff. Well I'm not sure what happened with Silverman yet but my sister just said it was he best speech of the night so far.
Shout out to the guy who close enough to the mic to be heard saying BOOOOOO ALSO ITS NOT HOW THEY PRAY THAT WE DONT LIKE ITS HOW THEY BOMB MR BOOKER
Was the whole "rapists, murderers" soundbite actually targeted at all mexicans? I heard it was targeted at illegals, but I never heard the actual comment itself, and I can't seem to find an actual full clip of the comment.
Booker for prez 2020 Trump for Prez 2016.
There will be nothing to get elected to by then. How does this make sense?
Jeez. I dunno if it's my biases as a more conservative guy, but these grand callbacks to the founding fathers and the moon landing always sound really forced when used in speeches by leftist politicians.
I feel the same way, I wonder if I'm being biased but given the shit that leftists say I'm inclined to say no.
What's your major beef with them appealing to a large demographic of theirs.
This is America, not Mexico. Appealing to a voterbase is fine, but so far I've seen steps well beyond that.
Well I'm not sure what happened with Silverman yet but my sister just said it was he best speech of the night so far.
She basically bitch slapped all the sanders delegates by telling them they were being ridiculous. The outroar was impressive - they did not enjoy it. Definitely a few more cracks in the whole 'unity' thing now.

Well, you're 0-1 now, Jury is still out on the quality of speakers, but it definitely seems to be dipping towards bad. This guy would be really good if he didn't sound shaky as hell.

Check off Bill Clinton looks like death?
WAR HAWK, WAR HAWK, WAR HAWK, WAR HAWK
War Hawk chanting
Jeez. I dunno if it's my biases as a more conservative guy, but these grand callbacks to the founding fathers and the moon landing always sound really forced when used in speeches by leftist politicians.
We put a man on the moon thanks to a New England Democrat while conservatives complained that we should have been spending money on bombers.
Pretty much everyone Latinx person I know and have heard and talked to was offended by the comments, regardless of whether they were undocumented or not.
Ok, I can understand that. Who was the original comment targeted at, though? It sounds like an easy story to spin.
Well, I guess that's one for the bingo card?
Check off Bill Clinton looks like death?
But he hasn't taken the stage yet

Well I'm not sure what happened with Silverman yet but my sister just said it was he best speech of the night so far.
Well, after it was revealed the DNC colluded against and suppressed the Bernie campaign throughout the primaries, they are now taking their signs, threatening to revoke their convention access, and calling them "ridiculous" at the convention. So yeah, people are pissed.
You're the guy who said the DNC would be really good because of better organization and speakers, right? I liked Franken's comedy routine and I need to catch up on whatever Silverman did. I really liked Guitierrez and the former intern a lot. Where is the cringe? Was it just Silverman?
Jeez. I dunno if it's my biases as a more conservative guy, but these grand callbacks to the founding fathers and the moon landing always sound really forced when used in speeches by leftist politicians.
i fucking hate this assumption that leftists can't be patriotic or love the founding fathers.
We put a man on the moon thanks to a New England Democrat while conservatives complained that we should have been spending money on bombers.
I said it feels/sounds forced, not that it wasn't a dem that did it.
