Honestly, I hope this year is a 4 way split between rep, dem, lib, and green so that everyone can take a step back a rethink the ridiculous shit that has gotten us to this point.
Just witnessed a potential suicide on reddit.
What a fucking overreaction jesus, poor dude was probably in a very bad student debt situation.

I feel like this will probably be me in two years.
Bachelors in History, $100,000< in debt, minimum wage job, no career, and worsening depression and anxiety.
Assuming he succeeds, I hope he finds it better on the other side than it is over here.
Maybe Donald Trump is right. I mean, building a wall worked to keep the DNC's undesirables out! Why wouldn't it work down south?

I'm not sure why anyone would believe Bernie's endorsement of Hillary is selling out. He's very much aware that the game was rigged - it's been all over the news ever since the documents were released. He knows that he probably would've won the nomination if the DNC itself hadn't conspired with Hillary to keep him from it. Did nobody think it suspicious when almost every superdelegate in the party pledged themselves to Clinton before the primaries even began?
However, he recognizes Trump for the threat to freedom, equality and the future of the United States that he is, and he's urging his supporters to support the lesser evil. Sanders has *never* been a sell-out, not once in his entire political career. He's also been more consistent in his beliefs than any other politician I know of.
So when he tries to make the best of a bad situation and speak with the voice of reason, that's a betrayal?

Denial is the most predictable of all human responses.

What, pray tell, is being denied?

He's supposed to make the best out of a bad situation, which is support his party, not divide it even more. It makes total sense.

But that's exactly what I said. It wasn't denial.
http://usuncut.com/politics/bernie-speech-hot-mic-nomination/
Jane Sanders had a hot mic moment during Bernie Sanders’ DNC speech, which prompted massive speculation among pundits and supporters after hearing what she said.
During a rally on Monday afternoon in which the Vermont senator was encouraging his supporters to vote for Hillary Clinton to stop Donald Trump (and getting booed by supporters), Jane, was heard whispering to Bernie on a live microphone, “They don’t know your name is being put in nomination. That’s the concern.”
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
But that's exactly what I said. It wasn't denial.
I wasn't talking about you :v:
I meant that for the people who insist that he's a sellout.
At this point, after being a sanders supporter from the start, knowing there was a clear stench of corruption during the primaries, the horrors the Clintons have done, and viewing the first day of the DNC, I'm voting for Clinton. I loathe HRC, yet I loathe more every bit of acidic bile that comes from trump and those that rally by him. I'd love to vote for Jill Stein, but do to the system we're under it's like trying to climb an infinitely slippery pill to escape lava. It's childish to want the Ragnarok a trump presidency would bring when it would push America to being at the power of a developing nation. I'd love if another option could be achieved now, but it is not ripe. Maybe in 4 years from now, maybe 8, but it is most certainly not achievable from Donald Trump, and voting third party would allow his presidency even more possibility in the current system. It's wiser to gain a victory for a party lead by the multiple and build from there, than one lead by one volatile fool that is likely impossible to build from.

Ah, then I apologize. That was a stupid overreaction on my part. This election has a lot of tempers running hot.

This is one of the most-logical posts I've seen in this thread. I don't know why many of the others can't use critical thinking like you.

Because many of us aren't convinced that trump is the greater threat to our nation in the long run than Clinton. Clinton is the more subtle poison that leads you to die an agonizing painful death later, Trump is the hot iron.

Explain what Clinton could do that would cause such long lasting damage to the country.

well according to the fbi, she is a terrible person with confidential information
as president, you can fuck up huge in that department.

You don't think she'd learn from this row with the FBI

Edit - Also, relating to the original question, how would that lead to the "slow poisonous death" of America?
well according to the fbi, she is a terrible person with confidential information

Those are outweighed by that fact that electing Trump actually has long lasting damage to the country, since it's going to take up to 30-years to replace all the Justices that the next president is poised to appoint.
Seriously, Sanders, Trump, and Clinton are all probably going to be fucking dead before we get such a major chance to rebalance the court.
Explain what Clinton could do that would cause such long lasting damage to the country.
I'm not going to waste my time trying to convince people that trump is the better candidate. I was just responding to sb27. My problem isn't so much Clinton's policies as the kind of politics and back room deals that she represents. The complete opacity of her character has always been a huge red flag for me, but it's more so the methods she's employing to win the election that scares me more than anything else, which forever taints everything she touches, which includes at this point the DNC.
Honestly this election cycle has convinced me that I'll probably never vote democrat again, which is the complete opposite of my previous voting history, despite what I say here I've only ever previously voted blue. I've lost any trust I might've possibly had for anything democrats or blatantly left leaning media says regarding controversial topics, due to the blatant manipulation they infuse with everything they publish.
Besides, I heavily disagree with plenty of core democrat policy anyways, so I personally wouldn't mind a shift to the right for four years, though some people literally think it would be Armageddon which is amusing. If anything it would force the DNC to actually elect good candidates in the future, which is in everyone's self interest.

So I can understand why you dislike her, but I still don't really know what damage you imagine she'd cause.
