No they dont, they can vote for whoever the fuck they want. Everything might be rigged but at the very least the voting itself is still somewhat democratic...

Can you give me some background?
Which is why
It's almost like the media doesn't want to talk about it or even acknowledge it's happening.
This is basically a dirtier repeat of the 1968 DNC.
is absolutely ridiculous.
So the RNC was conspiring against Trump as well. Like, the party committee having a preferred candidate isn't something I find shocking. I think that just goes to show how much stronger Trump's support is than Sanders'.
The Republican Party was in a much weaker state than the Democratic Party. Public opinion suffered as a result of their behavior over the last 8 years. Internally, they're fractures and cannot agree which way to go. They ran half a dozen candidates of varying levels of foolishness. It was easy for the Trump Train to plow through their fractured and frustrated party and secure the nomination
The Democratic Party on the other hand is in a very strong state after Obama's Presidency, and internally has already decided where they want to go, and the one candidate they want to take them there.
Nah, democracy calls for illusion of choice
The parties aren't actually required to have a race, it's something they elect to do, and at this point the major parties are expected to do if only because people have gotten used to them doing it. But it's clear the DNC didn't want a race, they've already chosen the winner long before it started, which is why it's perplexing that they decided to hold a rigged race over not having one at all.
A Sanders delegate from CA posted this video from the DNC showing that they are paying people to fill their seats and wear Hillary shirts. I made a separate thread so we can keep this thread on topic with the current speakers.
Is anyone still watching the DNC or just waiting for Hillary to come on? Watching the DNC is becoming more of a chore each day for me, and the speakers aren't holding my attention.
It must really say something if the DNC is having this much of a problem holding peoples' attention.
I haven't even bothered to turn on Fox news nor OAN for it today.
I swear, the guy who came up on stage called Hillary Jesus and credited her for giving African Americans the right to vote
I wouldn't say it was stolen, he might have lost anyway.
If she hadn't "cheated", it would have probably been 50/50
I don't know how this is supposed to make it better. He also could have won if the media hadn't painted him as unelectable since day one. Its impossible to know what the results would be in a fair election because we never held one.
[editline]29th July 2016[/editline]
And there's no need for scare quotes. She cheated, they stole the nomination, end of. There's no ambiguity. The 2016 Democratic nomination was stolen from the people, there is no alternative view that isn't blind apoligism.
Are there any talk of political stances or ideology at all? Or are only blindly praising Hillary for 4 days? Because if they are, I can really understand it. Talk about something else in that case.

The only reason the nomination was stolen by the people was because the people didn't vote, which isn't stealing.
How did Clinton cheat?
[editline]28th July 2016[/editline]
Additionally the only media I remember painting him as unelectable was conservative media. MSM sources like CNN, Fox, and MSNBC covered his campaign pretty well. MSNBC in particular, based on what the DNC leaks suggest.

Yeah, I suppose constantly hearing about RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS attracts more attention than substantial policies
Holyshit, this is just pandering to the nth degree at this point

People forget that multiple studies have been done showing that Clinton had the least positive coverage of any of the candidates running, in stark contrast with Sanders being the most positively covered candidate this cycle. Sure, Sanders had problems getting coverage period, but when he did, it was quite positive. But it doesn't fit into the "literally everything is rigged and corrupt my candidate" persecution complex that a lot seem to be having this cycle.

Do you really believe that Fox News talking about her email scandal invalidates everything that was revealed in the DNC leaks? Seriously.

Yeah dude, stupid Fox talking about terrorists and their weekly attacks against European civilians.. Why can't they talk about how great it is to nominate a woman and be part of history! That's real policy, not xenophobic discussions on how we can keep more people from being beheaded in their own country.

My point is that rallying people against an enemy gives off a lot more energy than actual words, which is why everyone is bored by the DNC
[editline]28th July 2016[/editline]
Louise from Bob's Burger endorses Hillary
Also she just said, "if you're not masturbating for over an hour, you're doing something wrong" on national TV.
Right now they're showing a bunch of pre-recorded footage on Twitch instead of the actual ongoing convention like on TV. The fuck?

Yeah...no idea what's going on there. Guessing they're having technical difficulties? It froze right before they swapped over.

That's true, but the snippets I've caught of the DNC aren't anything to write home about IMO. Just seems like generic political fluff. I think real policy can be entertaining, the reason the DNC is losing steam is because it's just more of the same filler.
Twitch stream is going all over the place
They cut off the girl speaking to go back to Louise

This guy literally stole the show at the DNC when he showed his copy of the U.S. Constitution to Trump.
Guys Hillary my mom is relatable I swear! She is not a soulless robot! Really! Facetime! Elmo! She's almost your neighbour!
Honestly, I find her way more relatable than a billionaire who sexualizes everyone and can't listen to people for 5 seconds.

Hillary murdering an old man live on TV :v:
Damn
Bernie looks so defeated when she started the pandering. Hardly cracked a smile.
Local Bernie Is Fucking Pissed
I really don't think it's wise for Hillary to be talking about royalty.
I keep tuning out involuntarily when hillary speaks. I have to actually focus to listen to her.
Incredible to see this talking about the revolution while wanting to take away the tools that made it possible from their contemporaries today :v:
Also strange to invoke FDR after running a fixed campaign against the only one close to a New Deal Democrat.
