As a person who can't see green, I thank you for posting the nice shades of blue.
I used to say blue but purple has slowly taken my favour.

Blue is a really fun color. Get blue colored lights in your room it looks really great.
red makes things go faster

Actually no.
If its a cold blue, it can have the opposite affect of having a very uneasy/unnerving feeling to something where as a warm orange will be inviting and welcoming.
Its why when you see pictures of inviting cottages, you'll see the lights in the windows are strong orange/yellow and the outside will be this off light or dark blue.

Further, green also has a reported calming affect and in fact has a wider arrange of colors that calm people.
The difference is that blue has a wide arrange of colors linked to emotions which is why people might find it so nice. However, we over blue everything which annoys the shit outta me.

Honestly im not particular on any specific color because its not as simple as that. I suppose if I had a favorite color its would be a dark gray, sort of the color that steam uses.
I suppose the closest to it would be black, but I dont like how just pure black looks.

I don't know, orange to me spells danger. I mean have you see some of those toxic frogs?
I remember another study stating that color blue has soothing qualities to the mind when looked at, or something. Basically relaxing color.

Not that surprising, blue is a color that is like half the view when standing on earth outside in daytime, while green is not necessarily, especially to citydwellers.
