Man, you guys are douchebags. Macs have had right-click for years, so joking about that is either showing how stupid you are, or as funny as jokes about Martha Stewart being in jail. Yes, Macs can have hardware problems. So can PCs. Hell, even Linux has problems. GET OVER IT. I game on PC. I have a BSD-based home server, and carry around a Ubuntu live cd in case of emergencies. I'm planning to get a cheap Mac soon for game development, since A) I have a bunch of old files that can only be read by a Mac-exclusive program and B) it's apparently important to have a Mac port, and I don't want to rely on other people to support it for me. I used to be a Linux fanboy. I got over it. You guys need to get over your Mac-hating, because most of it isn't even based on any kind of reason, just mindless hating of something that's different. It's not funny, it's not cool, it's just childish, and stupid. Does Mac have stupid fanboys? Sure. Guess what? You guys are just as stupid, except your freakish dreams are about Gabe Newell, Cliff Bleszinski and John Carmack, not Steve Jobs and his turtleneck. Grow. Up.
I like you, want to be friends?
Sure!
I see this Mac on steam thing as a chance for Mac players to get rid of all their negative views on windows, and same with Windows players' views on the Mac. Sure most of them would be completely new at games, but you have to remember that ALL of you were like that at one point. Give it a year or so and you won't be able to tell the difference between mac players and windows players, besides the stuck-up assholes on both systems that say shit like this: "Mac is better because its not pc." or "Windows is better because its not mac." And to clarify the Mac right click thing, its a running joke that Windows users cannot see how the mac's mouse can bend to give it two buttons.

Playing gmod on a macbook air will be a disaster.
damnit now garrysmod will be filled with a bunch of hipster douchebags that do nothing but minge and complain that they can't understand wire. Then said douchebags will invade FP. Think about what you're doing garry
Playing gmod on a macbook air will be a disaster.
Playing Gmod not with multi core rendering or more then 2 GB of ram is already a disaster.
Playing gmod on a macbook air will be a disaster.
some people play Modern Warfare 2 on Macbook Airs through Boot Camp. I'm surprised they didn't explode.
Sorry guys, but when the mac version comes out I'm gonna release a patch that cripples the PC version so you HAVE to buy a mac. Sorry again.
It's alright. I never play Gmod anyways.
Additionally, note that nobody thus far has said anything negative about Windows, and all the anger from Windows users comes not from attacks, but simply Mac users trying to defend their right to receive games and against being patronized as noobs who can't right click and are constantly saying they're better than everyone else.
Well sorry if I get pissed off because in every apple thread I see "lol u cant right click". Its like hearing someone telling you complete bullshit when you know they're lying. I don't know why you think we think we are better than windows users but people like that are fags. I use both and I understand why some mac'ers may think they are better than them. Because we don't bash them and comments such as "haha u cant right click" do piss me off. Its like we are a whole new race or some shit.
I don't hate Macs, I hate (most) Mac users. Just like how I have a 360, but I hate the little shit-heads on Live. Think of allowing Xbox 360 players to play with PC players online. Ughhh....
I've already seen it happen... -_- My friends who are somewhat Mac-Lovers played Garry's Mod on my account ,and when I came back from the bathroom they got banned from four servers for racism, being idiots ,and trying to act tough against a pc crowd. To say the least... Garry I grant you the Iron G cause you have started the PC Gamers vrs Mac Gamers revolution.
That's not possible. Buy it on one platform, it works on the other. (When it's updated to work on Mac anyhow)
The way VALVe are talking about that feature, it seems to be up to the developer to decide. But that could just be on non source engine games (having a choice that is).
The way VALVe are talking about that feature, it seems to be up to the developer to decide. But that could just be on non source engine games (having a choice that is).
I want to see a feature on Steam that if a game does not have a Mac version, or a Windows version, then you will download an emulator until that version is released. If you use the OS that is not supported, Steam will tell you on the Store page, and when you try to buy it.

Extremely tricky. Wine has been trying for what, a decade, and they're still far from perfect.
Wow benji. This post is made of fail.
fail is not a noun
We already have some what of a mac population and not any one of them are "hipster douchebags" its just a stereotype like how a PC is mostly used for boring business things when it can be used for all sorts of things.
That's because the INTELLIGENT ones are not hipster douchebags. Once the steam client is released, the douchebags will pour in. I wish NONE of them (the douchebags) would pour in, because that only means more mingebags on servers.
What about linux?
Sorry guys, but when the mac version comes out I'm gonna release a patch that cripples the PC version so you HAVE to buy a mac. Sorry again.
^ lol
I don't think they will be able to handle it. Not the Macs, but the people who own macs... opening up a door to a vast world of mingbags may be too much for a person so sheltered by incompatiblilty.
Guys, Like I said in the Computer Illiterate thread, I won't be a troll when i have steam for mac! Plus, i do have a gaming mouse for my mac. :buddy: But, for the time being I'm playing blockland while I await steam for mac :buddy: [editline]09:13AM[/editline]
:words:
I rated you agree because I have a mac too, but I still use my windows drive to play Gmod, and etc. and I use the mac drive for Blockland.
Macs and PCs both have strong points and weak points, saying one is better than the other is like saying that because you like jelly on bread instead of butter, you are better than said person who likes butter.
Macs and PCs both have strong points and weak points, saying one is better than the other is like saying that because you like jelly on bread instead of butter, you are better than said person who likes butter.
I like buttered toast, jelly toast is alright but not preferred. [editline]10:08AM[/editline] to me butter = Mac and jelly = PC [editline]10:09AM[/editline] oh, but cinnamon toast is good too
