you literally have the worst opinions, just shut up.
no you. what point does it have to deny people who are repentant of their crimes any level of freedoms?
no you. what point does it have to deny people who are repentant of their crimes any level of freedoms?
To punish them and quarantine them from society. It's common sense. Do you think we should just let psychopaths roam the streets?
you literally have the worst opinions, just shut up. murderers do deserve to rot or be executed. some people can't be rehabilitated because they're fucking crazy. it's not a perfect world, get over it.
how can you tell this man cannot be rehabilitated? where are your years of credible psychological study?
how can you tell this man cannot be rehabilitated? where are your years of credible psychological study?
last time I checked this is a garry's mod forum not a court of law. where's your certifications then? but you know what I'll wait until more details about the case come out to comment any further on this. I don't know if he was abused or how badly.
To punish them and quarantine them from society. It's common sense. Do you think we should just let psychopaths roam the streets?
Yes, because being a psychopath is a mental disorder, not a crime. Besides, I would suggest that the primary objective of the justice system is to rehabilitate those that can be rehabilitated; and remove from society those that can't be. There's no point to punishing someone who can be rehabilitated beyond making you feel good about it, and their feelings shouldn't be ignore in lieu of yours.
Oh how i'm glad you're on the other side of the world, and not a voting citizen in my little corner of it.
he is right though, sadly there ARE some people who just can not be fixed. they are too far gone or something inside themselves so basic is wrong and alters everything I am all for rehabilitation, it works i've seen it work. we know it works. but sometimes the best option for that VERY small group that it will never work on, is to keep them locked up. it's not a perfect world like he said, but it's all we can do (and should do.)
can you prove this?? and even if you can, would it not be more productive to at least try and rehabilitate everyone?
and can you prove that it'd be more productive to spend lots of money trying to rehabilitate EVERYONE with mental issues, even people who could potentially be beyond salvation due to their problems? in no way do i prefer the current system, but i really, REALLY wouldnt trust most governments with such delicate treatments and i feel like that'd just be reckless
