I don't see why you think Russia invading Ukraine is a good thing
I don't? I was leaning towards being pro the invasion a week ago when Russian forces only set foot on Crimea, but after hearing that they intend to push further I am thoroughly against it. Especially now that the violence has long stopped and things are much calmer, meaning Russia's reasoning for the invasion is pretty much nullified.
I just wonder why right wing extremists would want to join a left wing organisation like the EU.
I don't think neoliberalism really counts as left wing, yo.
not really a good way of measuring whos winning when everybody is losing
except russia is only profiting???
At this point no good will come from anything Russia does aside from withdrawing. They're going to get fucked in the ass by economic sanctions/NATO action if things go forward, and they'll be a lot less of a player on the geopolitical side if they decide to invade Ukraine more. Russia can't survive on its own very easily.

If anything, this lights a fire under everyone's asses to do what they needed to get done in the first place.
No, the Soviet Union deported a lot of Crimean Tatars and moved ethnic Russians to Crimea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deportation_of_the_Crimean_Tatars
And? Russians were already there along with Tatars before Soviets. It only made the number of Russians bigger.
HAHAHA, this is one the ways folks are voting in crimea :suicide: send in a big dude in a tracksuit who will absolutely not "remind" you on which is the correct choice. also why so many russian dudes seem to like using tracksuits?
also why so many russian dudes seem to like using tracksuits?
Because they are cheap as hell, you can get them anywhere. Made in China type thing.
According to CNN the White House states that the U.S.A. will never recognize the referendum as legitimate
Voter suppression is still a thing in the US, unfortunately. It's a big thing. You have people waging multi-million dollar campaigns to sew misinformation so certain demographics don't show. Also gerrymandering. So I can't really comment on the validity of the voting. Politicians are largely crooked fucks, no matter what language they speak.
Like every single large empire to ever form. From Rome, to Mongolia, to the British, and so on.
wow this title i retardedly setup years ago is finally relevant.

Yay for the two-party system.
We don't really have stuff like that these days, however the KKK was a thing not terribly long ago in our history.
I know, just the only thing I could think of from ye olde black power days. Just because you're Slavic doesn't make you Russian. Nor does making you Russian have anything to do with wanting to be Russian. But eh, it's just a dodgy parrallel.
