Voting Paypal
Do you see any change? Me neither. Meanwhile, EA, who has bought out and run countless devs to the ground, axing people from their jobs all for nothing, and even caused the death of at least one person. Getting voted the worst company HURT them. Thats more than anything that ever happened to the banks from getting voted bad.
how did that happen
They track your searches. Real big brother type stuff.
No they don't, not any more than other telecoms.
how did that happen
it was some stupid thing with a power bill that wasn't true at all
Comcast and Paypal are horrible. Paypal has absolutely horrid business practices, and they can't handle simple fucking things.
Bank of America is just as bad equally. As for Comcast, I was able to ditch them and be free from their tyranny. But they still deserve to be brought down with their monopoly bullshit.
EA won the title of worst company last year, and that was before this Simcity shitstorm.
Frankly I'd be more surprised if EA didn't win.
Well last year was the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle which received just as large an uproar, if not more so.
i hope fucking wal-mart wins
Comcast, hope you get it. Fuck you.
Let's all continue to talk about how some other company deserves the award more than EA while pretending that the award matters at all or will affect business practices in any way.
Didn't EA respond to this last year with some smug statement?
who cares about monopolies and privacy concerns when a company that makes bad videogames is on the list
My shitty guess
I thought Walmart hate had died down a bit.
Eh, I just think more people know how about how shit they are compared to the other companies. Doesn't necessarily mean they're the shittiest in their column, but more people hate them.
Polls always run off of the most recent hate bandwagon. EA is going to be the "big winner" because of the SimCity shit. Companies like Walmart and Comcast are consistently shit, so it's no surprise when we hear about yet another fuck-up from them. At least EA occasionally does something that isn't terrible, so their fuck-ups are more noticeable.
Also most people that would vote on this don't really give a fuck about X using inhumane labor, much less Y's near-monopoly, Z's horrible business practices, or Facebook selling their private information. Nope, it's all about EA who promised a lot for your $60 when instead you only get a little bit.
It's just whomever the latest witch-hunt targets.
If you don't want EA to win, then it's probably a good idea to try and spur up some non-gamer based communities. Because anytime you can give EA shit for something, /v/ is going to be all over it. Maybe try to get SA and /pol/ engaged or something.
As long as either paypal or EA get it I'll be happy.
Ever since being a victim of chargeback scams and etc I'll never forgive paypal.
Doesn't matter, EA's gonna win it anyways because messing with my videogames is considerably worse than what companies like BoA pulls.
I was hoping Activision would be on the list, apparently it's not American.
Despite the whole simcity fiasco, I still think they are worse.
To be fair Activision aren't the ones shoving unnecessary DRM into their games or having horrendous launchers for big titles.
ATT has wronged me too many times! I will enjoy watching them climb the ranks.
EA won last time because anger over the ME3 ending
And now they're most likely "winning" this time due to the SimCity fuckup they don't even try to fix, but instead just slap a small band-aid on a gaping wound.
That said, there's plenty of companies who deserves winning more than EA.
Bring me up to date; why is Comcast evil now?
I use it for my TV and internet, I only get some outages once every few months but other than that it's fine. What'd they do?

outages

fine
Uhh...
Why the fuck is Google on that list?
YouTube Division.
YouTube Division.
Isn't Youtube still a separate company, except it's a sub-division of Google, or has it been fully absorbed into the Google emporium?
Why the fuck is Google on that list?
Tax dodging, i'd imagine.
It would be nice to have a list of why each company deserves to be there. Okay, companies like EA and Apple, everyone knows these but non-americans will likely not know who Equifax or Sallie Mae are, let alone what they've done.
Walmart.
Slowly raping small town businesses and livelihoods, one severely underpaid and uninsured employee at a time.
the more you know...

Actually Walmart offers health benefits to its employees
Walmart.

I agree that they're terrible, but Wal-Mart has been a known evil for a long time, so it's not gonna win this year.
Google has been doing shady shit recently.
Not even remotely bad as Facebook though.
By the way, EA didn't win last time because of anything, /v/ all voted to see what would happen.
AT&T deserves it this time. I hate them with every fiber of my being. I get 1Mbit down, 10% daily packet loss with total internet failure every few hours, and this is ADSL, not 4G. I keep trying to get them to look into it, and they refuse to fix the problem, even when they admitted that they are at fault. I can't switch because no one else provides service in this area.
Actually Walmart offers health benefits to its employees
Only the full-time employees, of which it has about two. They intentionally hire part-time employees for as many of their positions as possible so they don't have to give them benefits.
I know EA makes bad video game and apple ipad hipster iphone but the banks on that list are literally partly responsible for a financial collapse that destroyed the livelihoods of countless people.
I've always wondered why they don't just choose whoever gets the most votes, instead of having brackets like they do

Then refuse to pay for services not provided
