That's horrible but i somehow thought of this.
hahaha that was the stupidest shit I've ever seen
Here, some roads have speed-signs that actually change according to weather, construction etc. They should start using the same ones there.
We do: No one pays attention to them though, even police cars ignore them Also I think it's time using the motorway becomes part of driving lessons. At the moment it's illegal for a learner driver to use the motorway so the first time you use the motorway is once you've passed.
At the moment it's illegal for a learner driver to use the motorway so the first time you use the motorway is once you've passed.
Oh wow that is so absurd and stupid. Why not just give everyone licenses and let them figure our driving on their own, by the same rationale as not letting them on highways.
[release]M6 motorway 11-vehicles crash leaves six injured Six people have been injured in a crash involving 11 vehicles on the M6 motorway in Lancashire. Police said the crash involved seven cars and four lorries and happened close to junction 29, near Leyland, south of Preston, at about 01:40 GMT. One person was trapped in a lorry and had to be released by firefighters. Police said none of the injuries was life-threatening. The motorway was reopened on both carriageways just after 08:45 GMT. The cause of the crash, on the northbound carriageway, is not known. The southbound side of the motorway was closed as it was used to remove casualties. Police said the person rescued from the lorry was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment while the other five people hurt went to Wigan Infirmary. On Friday night seven people were killed and more than 50 injured in a crash on the M5 in Somerset. Source is BBC News [/release] Another pile-up, although at least no one was killed in this one. I guess this also means the government is going to have to take look at road safety on motorways.
I guarantee they will implement ineffectual fear-based reactionary policies.
Depends on what they do. I wouldn't be against mandatory motorway driving lessons as part of the standard test - at the moment it's only part of a optional training program.

Pass-plus as it's called is an additional course that gives you lessons once you;ve passed in things not covered by basic driving lessons. Motorways and night driving esspecially. Most people do it because it reduces insurance premiums, but it really should be mandatory - doesn't need to be another test, just lessons.

And the speed limit is absolutely useless, it's 70mph IIRC, nobody follows it. Everyone always bombs it at at least 80.
My father had to go back from work down the M5 last night, I saw the wreckage on the news and I gave my dad the biggest hug of his (and my) life when he got home. :buddy:

New update says it could have been due to a bonfire and fireworks display next to the motorway: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-somerset-15612315
The day they crashed it was insanely foggy, couldnt see more than a few metres in front. I live rther close to the m5
On the news the police said it could very well have been due to smoke from a bonfire/fireworks display.
