It's just a setting. It has nothing to do with killing kids. In fact, it's fictional military dudes shooting other fictional military dudes who are equally armed so everything is all fair.
I can already predict version 2, coming with custom models of teachers and students.
They should think of it this way: The game is about defending the school from the evil terrorists who want to murder our children and destroy our way of life.
My friend made a library map for CSGO and people started yelling school shooting and shit because it looked like a school library. (Valve also wanted to promote the map, if he reworks it to be a prison library or something) It's fucking stupid.
This just in: People are fucking stupid, especially when afraid and led by the nose.
Someone has to rub it into their eyes that those games make no criminals and neither do they start criminal stuff. It's just a way to kill the time (unless they think killing some time is criminal). Even my dad who could already say that he's to old for this shit means that those people should listen to the other people and not put their fingers into their ears and screaming "LALA I CAN NOT HEAR YOU LALALA".
Map too blocky. But in all seriousness, I think the parents/teachers are overreacting and saying people can't differentiate between real life and a video game.
the school should be entirely destructible and should explode at the end of every round more controversy
We had someone who made a map out of our city Mjölby in Sweden for Cs 1.6, fucking amazing
Was it this one?
Let's band together and make a bunch of local map packs and get extra famous.
Let's band together and make a bunch of local map packs and get extra famous.
I'm about to recreate a part of my city, an subway station to be exact, that I want to play in CS:GO. Wish me luck.
I kinda want to make the main hall of my college campus. It looks pretty badass and has a lot of verticality to it that would make for a pretty awesome map.
this is an outrage i am so outraged right now
"a videogame in which players use automatic assault rifles to shoot at enemy forces" fucking rofl when the fuck are people going to get over assault rifles of course there's no worry over the pistols, grenades, sniper rifles, shotguns, light machine guns, or SMGs just the baby-killing cop-murdering assault rifles
It's called knowing how to write for an audience. The audience in question being the dumbest knuckle draggers in existence...
Didn't some Australian kid get expelled from his school for doing exactly this years ago with CS 1.6?
Canada's so much more fucking tame when it comes to mapping public palces for stuff like CS. If I knew how to hammer I would do my old highschool just to stir shit.
They should think of it this way: The game is about defending the school from the evil terrorists who want to murder our children and destroy our way of life.
You would have to change the perspective[or entrance] of the CT then. The best way to do that would be to have them enter from one of the several entrances to a school building, and have it shown where the hostages are school teachers, and several propaganda posters against the CT[or government of choice] are plastered up very poorly around the map. This would give the perspective that the CTs are there to save the day, and that the terrorist are trying to promote a political message. Bonus points if you manage to relate a political scenario at the present moment of when the map is made.
