Elaborate?
Elaborate?
I think that was meant to be sarcastic
I don't support trump. I just don't support people railing on him endlessly and instantly jumping on the RAPE CULTURE YOU'RE JUST SUPPORTING RAPE CULTURE DID I SAY RAPE CULTURE OH MY GOD RAPE CULTURE bandwagon.
Are you having some kind of brain aneurysm right now? or is this your usual standard of posting? I'm not unconvinced you haven't just come into this thread to aggressively argue the contrarian opinion to get a rise out of people/feel superior to both sides of an argument on the interwebs.
Trump is getting endless criticism because he is an endless supply of bullshit. The guy is a total fuck up who should be nowhere near any position of power.
Everyone is leaping on this right now because:
A He's bragging about being able to get away with sexually assaulting a married woman woman because he's rich.
B it's the first time the world at large has reacted to Trump how they fucking should have at the start- "why the fuck was this guy even considered president material, seriously what a shithead!".
The reaction to this latest Trump fuck up is the first thing in the presidential elections that has made the slightest bit of sense, is it such a surprise that everyone is clinging to it after the borderline fever-dream shit of the last few months?

Essentially
The fact he said it doesn't mean he's sincere about it, he's only probably said it so people would think he's actually sorry and keep voting for him when he's really not sorry.
I really have no reason to believe that other than because it's convenient.
Since you ignored my reply to you earlier and prefer to give value to Trump's statements:

Sorry, my mistake. Here's your mention for the ticker. Seriously, what the hell do you expect me to say to that?
There's no defending this thing Trump said in a private conversation 11 years ago. I just don't think it matters nearly as much as it's being made out to.

You shouldn't get so bent out of shape over internet attention. What do you expect me to say to that? "Oh he was just kidding." "That doesnt apply." etc.

Yeah but by Trumps own words, it is a big deal
He railed on Weiner over a photo, turns out Trump is a boaster when it comes to sexual assualt, By Trumps own logic, he'll never change, and can never be described in a different way
Well, given that virtually everybody reacted to it, clearly it matters.

Big whoop. Even if this was the huge character-defining quote of his life it's being drawn as, I just don't think it makes a big difference. John Kennedy had a pretty divisive sexual history from what I recall. Bill Clinton may have actually raped people in office. Both were perfectly-acceptable politicians that I have a great deal of respect for. I even hear that Wiener wasn't half bad either, but don't take my word on that.
Hillary Clinton talked a while back about having a divide between who you are in private and your demeanor when you're on the job. I agree with her on that, to an extent, and I think when it comes down to it, Donald Trump's overactive libido would not have much bearing on the function of his administration.
Well, given that virtually everybody reacted to it, clearly it matters.
Look, I'm sorry if this comes off as unreasonable, but I don't often consider popular opinion when formulating my own ideas on things.
I don't know about anyone else but I'm pretty sure I've been staunchly against physical or sexual abuse towards anyone since I had the capacity to know what it was.
To claim that some people are bringing it up just to smear Trump is ridiculous. Any normal human being will be against predatory behavior and commentary and will absolutely hold political figures (not just public figures, who are arguably not there to be a role model, but POLITICAL figures) to a much higher standard of conduct and behavior.
Of course I despise ANYONE who displays predatory and gross behavior like what Trump displayed in the video, but him being Trump is not the sole reason I do. If some normal dude said the same thing then you bet your ass I'd stay away from that normal dude too! And certainly wouldn't vote him into a position of power.
Defending commentary like this in any capacity beyond a tentative "free speech" context is pretty gross. I don't want to know, talk to, or knowingly interact with people who think it's okay. They can live their lives somewhere that is not anywhere in my vicinity.

Of course, that whole post has an "In my opinion" that I'm gonna tack onto the end here so if you're totally okay with what he said then whatever, you do you lol. But I'm not a huge fan of people thinking that being against physical or sexual abuse is a thing people do for political reasons.

It's had an impact on his business.
You're literally plugging your ears and filling the room with noise so you don't have to hear the reality of the situation.
As a business man, as a owner of a beauty pagent, he let his sexist nature make women uncomfortable. in his job. But of course, it won't affect his presidency, his potential future job, right?
Even though, by Trumps own logic, he should be expected to stay the same forever.
I wonder how much shit you people would defend if it was other people.
Do you really think the guy goes around actually grabbing pussy? A bit of banter with the boys doesn't make you guilty of sexual assault.
What the fuck are you talking about? The comments are disgusting, there's no two ways about that.
If that's "banter with the boys" then I'm picturing Facepunch HQ as the Korova Milk Bar from Clockwork Orange.
It's easy to believe that men don't talk like this around each other in the real world if you sit at home playing video games all day.
The only people I know who speak like this are absolute meathead douchbags. Try again.

I get the reality of the situation. The Trump campaign is tanking right now because of this whole debacle. It doesnt change my opinion on Trump at all because I don't value these words as much as others do. What's so difficult to get about me having my own opinion on the matter? "You people" are really hell bent on this whole political hivemind fantasy.
Where is this woman Trump has talked about? What does she think? It's prime time for her to press charges if there really was an assault here.

Frankly I don't understand how it couldn't upset you unless you don't ever think about how women feel or have been objectified and been harmed by that.
You can have your own opinion, your opinion can even be one of "I don't think comments like this mean anything", sure, I'm not going to stop you from holding that opinion. I will point out how unsubstantiated that claim is, I will point out how illogical that may or may not be.
I get that this is "just some sweet bantz" to yourself and others, but there's people out there who have been genuinely harmed by bullshit like this. Normally, when it's regular people, I consider it an issue but not a giant one. When it comes to the person the rest of the country is going to look up to as the literal leader, then I think those comments do matter, because surprisingly, there's a lot of women in the US and the attitude, atmosphere, and enviroment of the country on a socio-poltical landscape can and does regularly effect normal every day people. I think a Presidential candidate doing this kinda shit should tank his campaign, and it should even make people like yourself who wholesale do not care about the implications of these words question why you don't care what the most influential office in the country thinks about half the population of your nation
Maybe that's not worth thinking about to you, but it is as far as I'm concerned.
Well it seems he is alpha and gamma, some women want him some women despise him.
Also he seems a bit beta-ish on skin color and kappa-ish on haircut, but I think his character is sigma-ish because if you are not nice to him, he is not nice to you.

dont forget to buy property in the most expensive part of the world, use immigrant labor at a third the cost, chinese steel at pennys on the dollar, and never pay and sub contractor what theyre owed and sue new york to get a 40 year tax deduction on your property taxes.
with the massive shortcuts he used and legal shenanigans he should have netted a much larger return
