Take a guess as to which news outlet called Wikipedia a "worldwide network of pedophiles".

tl;dr fearmongering bullshit
Leave it alone. You're beating a dead horse.
I would get hunted down and murdered if I bashed the other news networks for some of the ridiculous stuff they put out regularly. But Fox News? I get a high five, since bashing conservatives is somehow okay.
Oh :foxnews:, why do you keep amazing us with your stupidity?
Why do you? I'm thoroughly amazed by your reaction to anything and everything ever uttered by a person with even remotely conservative views.
I'm getting tired of seeing you attacking every article Fox News puts out. I think you should be happy this country even allows dissent; I admit, from time to time they do say or do something that defies all reason, but so do the other networks. You're just a fascist, really, by singling them out.
Somehow, though, I actually agree with you somewhat in that the accusations in the article are a bit over the top.

No, Fox news is bullshit.
I love how these news stories portray paedophiles like some sort of organised network, with a fucking agenda.
Like they have a fucking monthly meeting to discuss how to get to more children faster.
But they actually are. Trust me, I know about this :V
The thing is that people just misunderstand the agenda... (And some choose to deliberately take their words and twist them, to make them sound worse than they actually are. Fox News are certainly not the first people to do this.)
“The most important function Wikipedia serves is via the pedophilia articles themselves. It is important that they remain fair and unbiased. It is important that they continue to have external links to the support and activist community. The user pages are much less important.
"It is of the utmost importance that pedophiles newly daring to google "pedophile" or "pedophilia," or look them up directly in Wikipedia, in an effort to understand themselves better, are able to get unbiased information …. Many of these men and women are in dire need of support.
"Secondly, nonpedophiles who recognize the increasingly sensationalistic media treatment, etc., and turn to the Web to find the facts or people who use the Web as their primary source of information: If they turn to Wikipedia, Wikipedia should give a fair and balanced view. This community needs that to happen….
Take a look at this quote from the OP, this is from a pedophile. Does it look like he wants to change any laws? No, he simply seeks to help young pedophiles understand themselves better, which is very, very hard if all information are biased and keep telling them that they are simply monsters that should be killed - Before they even think about doing anything illegal.
And another misunderstanding seems to be that all pedophiles agree, and that they all have the same agenda; To make child sex abuse and child porn legal with no restrictions whatsoever.
However, the opinions of pedophiles wary a lot.
There are pedophiles like that, who believe that the Age of Consent should be abolished entirely. Others feel that while child porn should be legal, the laws about sex with children should stand as they do. And then there's of course the pedophiles with much lighter views, like just lowering the Age of Consent or perhaps not even changing any laws at all.
There is also a very on-going discussion about why sex with children is bad and/or harmful. Not a single pedophile deny (That is probably a lie, but just as in any other community, there are weirdoes, extremists and outcasts.) the fact that people have ended up traumatized after experiencing child sex abuse. But it is very often discussed why.
And just by the way, I'm only stating the common opinions of many pedophiles here, I haven't even gotten near my own, actual views.
At first I thought "Hm, the Onion seem to be lacking their normal comic subtly; this is too stupid to even half believe as a news story" and then I clicked on the thread
Dumbshits.
Pedophillia never hurt anyone. :ninja:
http://www.wikisposure.com/Wikipedia_Campaign
:colbert:
The utter irony of that site is the way in which it provides links to pedophilia networks (e.g. boychat as described in the Fox News article).

you know, I'll be honest.
i gave Jenkem credit
as i was scrolling down, a little image came into my mind, I thought "oh hey, Jenkem" and then thought "nahhh, he's too smart to defend this"
then I found this
Jenkem, I think it's official, you have a brain tumour
BoyChat
Doesn't that sound lovely?
Link please?
This. I can't believe a news organization would get their facts so horrendously wrong as to say that. But, not to jump on the bandwagon, this article is just as stupid, so maybe.
Also, I'm offended by Glenn Beck saying journalists are taught to hate the government. Of all the things to be offended by, I know. I don't care if he was making a joke. I've been in a journalism class, I've been on my school's newspaper for two years, and I've even won an award in News Writing. We're not taught any such thing. Glenn Beck shouldn't be allowed to use the word biased until he is forced to write the definition literally a thousand times. I know I shouldn't be raging at a guy who probably doesn't have the IQ necessary to defend himself, but I'm still pissed.

I'm willing to guess that this "investigation" involves reporters looking at discussion pages and blowing shit out of proportion.
