Indeed, although if they still have first-person platforming, one fix they will likely need to make will be giving Gordon legs. Because if you're going to do first-person platforming, it helps if you can at least see where your feet are.
Speaking of which, would Xen also have been improved if, instead of just the tricky long jump mechanic, the booster pack acted like a jetpack a'la Tribes?
The devs have also stated multiple times that the paid release will not contain Xen immediately. Apparently they're working on multiplayer and updating models/animations instead.
What does the Morse code on the radio say?

please be both the xen release and the improved retail Black Mesa.
I'm pretty sure this was before the nuking.
Quite possibly, it was a natural gas explosion in universe... touched off by a stray bomb or Vort blast.

I thought the smoke and tremors were due to the nuke going off.
I thought the smoke and tremors were due to the nuke going off.
It seems to me more likely that the resonance cascade itself was responsible for the tremors. I'm fairly certain people would notice a large mushroom cloud and the ensuing radiation in the distance if it was the nuke.

Unless the nuke was deep underground... like the one detonated in Opposing Force. In which case the smoke would likely be from something on top catching on fire... an electrical explosion from the transformers at the hydroelectric dam power station.

Good job, though the message is actually:
<SOS> <SOS> <SOS> DE AI5BM AI5BM AI5BM BLACK MESA RESEARCH FACILITY BIODOME LABS. TRAPPED, NEED RESCUE. EVAC ZONE NOT SAFE. MILITARY HOSTILE <AR> K
Our best guess is that the AI5 is actually a reference to an earlier clue we found, an actual SSTV signal, which I why I mentioned SSTV earlier. But who knows, it could be related to something else.
If you're interested in this stuff further, I suggest you guys check out the wiki (http://thepizzaisalie.wikia.com/wiki/The_Pizza_Code_Mystery_ARG_Wiki).

seems that the "off air" screen is gone, and has been replaced with a full green image. Not sure what that means, but it just changed 45 seconds ago. I clicked the classified ad and it showed the usual off air image, exited out because i left the radio on, and then reopened it and got that.
No it's the same. I think it's something to do with the browser failing which is why when you leave a screen on either the radio or the broadcast it fucks up. Try reopening a new one.

Ohhh, i see. Ok. I was closing and reopening them so fast that it thought i still had the old one open. Makes sense.
After giving the "PLEASE STAND BY" thing a look in audacity some beeps at the start caught my attention and I slowed it down.

Maybe morse code?
By the way that earlier picture with all of the solid-colored rectangles was probably some hexadecimals in color form.
All this is impressive but my money is on an elaborate hoax. I mean did you see the gman model? From the looks of things its still the same old source model.

Hoax? What do you mean by that? This is related to the Black Mesa ARG.
Oh and also, what earlier picture? Do you mean one of the clues found earlier or something else?
It's not SSTV, but the system it seems to be based on, the Emergency Alert System, is designed to carry data within the SAME Header that exists within the alert. Perhaps methods that are used to decrypt SAME headers can be used here.

Actually, scratch that, some guy on 8chan figured out it was an image converted into a soundwave and decoded it.
The image:

Is there even a way to decode this? Sorry if I'm late, but it's supposed to be the sync for an SSTV image.
please be the Xen release
little late but they said they werent working on xen right now. they said they focused on porting it to source 2 first and making everything work for the retail release, than focus on xen post release

I don't think it's real

They are not using source 2
little late but they said they werent working on xen right now. they said they focused on porting it to source 2 first and making everything work for the retail release, than focus on xen post release
They're not using Source 2. They confirmed that a year or 2 ago. They've on what ever version of Source 1 Valve licences out. Probably the same branch the Stanley Parable used.
I really wanted this to be for the steam release.
I hope this is for the Steam release. I haven't downloaded the mod version because I really want to give these guys money.
Get hyped. Guess the Xen part of BMS is inbound.
It'd be for the Steam release if anything, and the Steam release should bring multiplayer and polished visuals for single player. Xen is still supposedly a ways off, they've indicated that they're reimagining Xen in a way that practically treats it like a new game (as in, it'll be longer and fleshed out, but delivered as a free patch once it's complete).
I love ARGs so much
