Oh my god, it's one half of Sharktopus!
Young japanese girls must be terrified.
Soon we will have Octomen and Octowomen living among us.
The sex will be AMAZING.
or the blowjobs
They have a very sharp beak, I wouldn't want to try it.

But Reapers look more like squids than octopuses.

They're pretty much mechanical cuttlefish, but they're cool anyway.

Octopi are extremely intelligent, I really believe they could rapidly advance as a species if giving birth didn't kill them.

Why, exactly?
This reminds me of when I played Sim Earth years ago.
Octopi ended up becoming the sentient race of the planet.
I think it was just trying to walk away so it could eat it's crab in peace
then it gave up and panicked away?
I dunno, sounds possible to me.

All of the people staring at it and making loud noises probably didn't help.
Why, exactly?
Because males only live something like 6 months and females don't eat while they take care of their eggs so they leave the nest/hole months later and are too weak to defend themselves.

What I meant was why would it advance their species, I don't see the connection.
Watching things like these makes you think that ultimately all of us are "the lost children of the sea", considering our origins.
There are a few videos of this phenomenon. What is the reason this happens?
What I meant was why would it advance their species, I don't see the connection.
They really can't do that much with their life span.
What I meant was why would it advance their species, I don't see the connection.
Octopus have proven to be very intelligent. If they had more time to learn and pass down knowledge like tool use to their young, they could very well advance quickly as a species.

First the octopus, THEN THE SHARKS

But seriously, sea creatures are downright horrifying. I think I have a phobia of deep-sea creatures. So thank you, mother nature, for not allowing our octopi overlords to come to power.
reminds me of the octopus that predicted the outcome of the soccer games
