hey guys, i decided to run a public-facing web server on my computer that has tax records and shit on it and put an unrestricted upload script on it. then some retard scriptkiddie finds it and uploads c99shell because i was too stupid to put up any security measures. instead of acknowledging my own stupidity, i'm going to make an unnecessarily big deal out of it.

I wouldn't be so stupid to install a public server, use an unrestricted uploader and then put sensitive files on that server. I'd dedicate a computer to that. What you are saying is not what happened. Remember, the guy hosted a server, he was just being dumb by not securing his server well enough.

Hey guys, I decided to own a store and put food and drinks and all kinds of merchandise in it and put everything on shelves so people can buy them. then some retard kid comes in and starts stealing my food because i was too stupid to secure my products! instead of acknowledging my own stupidity, i'm going to treat the kid like the criminal he is.

If you did put locks on it (and as an anology - the server owner did not), and it would have been stolen, then it's not your fault.
