The WH confirming or denying anything isn't exactly part of an argument.
On that, I definitely agree. I'm just sharing it on the off chance this isn't too good to be true. I could (with quite a stretch) see him trying to frame him resigning as a victory over the Swamp, and claim that "he made America great again and did more than any other president in their first 10 months" or some BS.

I hope him resigning doesn't make him into a martyr to his cultists.
I hope him resigning doesn't make him into a martyr to his cultists.
There's literally no way they will let it go. They're about as indoctrinated as it goes.
I mean if everyone dies in a nuclear hellfire then I suppose that's one way. :v:
"If I destroy America, America can't impeach me." - Trump right now
We need to start preparing ourselves for the very likely possibility of a Trump impeachment and the imminent collapse of this administration’s structure. 1) It’s going to get MUCH worse before it gets better. There will very likely be riots and violence in the streets. 2) The old guard of oligarchs, right-wing propagandists and even some Republican voters will use every available tactic in a desperate attempt to hold on to control. They will likely attempt to force existing divisions wider as a diversion. Families, friendships, and social structures will be strained to the point of breaking. 3) The public must demand a snap election to replace this entire administration. Polling stations will be particularly dangerous and likely the target of violence/terror attacks from Trump loyalists. Extra security and transparency is therefore crucial. 4) The time has come to stop “getting used” to Trump, his lies, and the lies of those who support or work for him. We were horrifyingly close to accepting the future he and the dark forces controlling him had in store for us - it almost became the new normal. Starting today, we are burying that future. The collective gaslighting of our nation ends now. We must pull ourselves together, acknowledge the truth that’s staring us in the face, and do everything possible in our power to reject Trumpism and eschew the dark impulses to ignorance and hatred that lay its framework. 5) We must pass comprehensive, bipartisan anti-corruption laws including compulsory release of taxes, transparency of social media ad spending, and the elimination of fake social media accounts. Most importantly, we must move to a system whereby elections are PUBLICLY FUNDED.
Lmao. Dude, calm down. Its just a couple knobs that got caught laundering money and evading taxes while putting tons of US money into foreign investments and political party shenanigans . I'm not a fan of Trump myself, but he is the president and he probably isn't truly an idiot. I'm guessing if there is some kind of deeper conspiracy, then Manafort is a fall-guy. But in all likelihood, it was him acting with his firm(quite stupidly), without any connection to the campaign for President.
If you don't think Trump's an imbecile, and if you honestly believe that this arrest has nothing to do with Trump, at best you haven't been paying attention.
-snip nevermind-
Shouldn't it be the other way around? If Trump is an imbecile he may not have anything to do with this, but if he's smart he probably does?
He's an imbecile because he believed - still believes - he can get away with it. He still believes everyone loves him - that he can do no wrong - and that any bad press about him is the result of a conspiracy against him. He still believes that those who do not like him were fooled into not liking him by 'fake news'. He still believes that Hillary Clinton and Barrack Obama are conspiring to drum up false charges to have him removed from office. Why does he think they're false? Because he honestly believes himself when he denies making certain statements that there are videos and recordings and news articles of him making. If he regrets something he has done, he convinces himself it never happened. Trump does not live in the reality the rest of us live in. And he won't live in that reality until it finally hits him - when he's disgraced and alone in a prison cell to answer for his crimes against the United States. And when that moment comes, it will break him.

He still believes everyone loves him - that he can do no wrong - and that any bad press about him is the result of a conspiracy against him.
It scares me to imagine that there's someone much more intelligent taking notes about this whole thing. I would dread for someone worse to come along who actually knows what they're doing.
I'm not a fan of Trump myself, but he is the president and he probably isn't truly an idiot.
I dunno man he likes his steaks well done and with ketchup.
I dunno man he likes his steaks well done and with ketchup.
That alone should be grounds for impeachment.
Listen, man. *I* like my steaks well done and with ketchup. Does that mean I'm unfit to be Prime Minister?
That alone should be grounds for impeachment.
Under a Trump presidency, the stakes are as high as the steaks are well done!
Listen, man. *I* like my steaks well done and with ketchup. Does that mean I'm unfit to be Prime Minister?
Yes.
Listen, man. *I* like my steaks well done and with ketchup. Does that mean I'm unfit to be Prime Minister?
Are you crazy man this is poutine country
Are you crazy man this is poutine country
Hey, I never said I didn't like my poutine.
The coming weeks are going to be very interesting. Either we are seeing the first sign that Trump and friends are going down, or we are about to see just how much bullshit the American people are willing to swallow out of political apathy or partisan idiocy, and just how far being rich really goes when it comes to getting you out of any and all trouble. Trump is a fucking moron, he's surrounded by morons, if anyone walks away from this unscathed you bet it's going to be because of cash. Personally, I will freely admit that I'm a pessimist. I can just see this whole scandal becoming another huge trashbag on the Trump dumpster fire, with everyone left staggered by just how blatantly corrupt a politician can be without facing any kind of consequence. I fucking hope that i'm wrong lads.
I dunno man he likes his steaks well done and with ketchup.
and he only eats trump steaks

He's not being indicted for anything involving the campaign from what I've read. Its just Manafort and Co. getting busted breaking the law. I'm sure it will probably result in further indictments or charges and Trump is hovering over a fire right now, too. But this isn't "Trump is going to be impeached" or "he will resign any moment" material yet. Trump just has to prepare for the heat.

Getting Manafort in jail isn't the gameplan. Manafort will flip. Papadapolous already flipped. Mueller has so much more info than either of us is aware and he's only moving now because he has something concrete to use on Manafort to flip him in the following weeks. Why flip him? Because the actions are related.
https://www.mediaite.com/online/flashback-check-out-this-freezing-cold-aug-2016-take-from-newt-gingrich-on-paul-manafort/ No. I have no idea what's going to come of this, it could be nothing, but you are factually wrong to say "without any connection to the campaign for the President".
No one is denying that Manafort played a pretty important role in Trump's campaign. I read through the whole indictment report, and I'm just not seeing how any of it has to do with Trump. Manafort is getting hit for basically 4 different things (7 of the 12 charges are for 2 things, but with one charge for each year): 1) Not having the proper paperwork as a Ukrainian lobbyist in the US. (Ending in 2014) 2) Lying, and telling others to lie, about his involvement as a lobbyist for Ukraine. (About his work in 2014) 3) Laundering money into the US through foreign banks and fake companies, and not paying taxes on it. (This is what the conspiracy charge is about) 4) Defrauding banks by lying about his properties in order to get larger loans (like saying that his rental property is actually a 2nd home). As far as I can tell, according to the paperwork, they aren't claiming that his involvement with Ukraine went past 2014. With that said, he may very well divulge more info on Trump or his associates. It's very possible. In, fact, I would be surprised if more didn't come out before this is all over, but the info that we have right now doesn't connect any of Manafort's wrongdoing with Trump or his campaign.

Evidence from Papadopoulos is more damning than what Manafort has so far though.
I would really love to know if this is genuine or not
I doubt it. It has been up on the RT article for 7 hours without being taken down now.
And Papadopoulos?
I just finished reading this statement: https://static01.nyt.com/packages/pdf/politics/2017/statement_of_the_offense.filed_.pdf Is there anything else official on him? It seems he's being accused of lying to the FBI, not for any sort of collusion. I mean, again, it might come to that, but I don't see it yet. I may be wrong, but I don't think setting up, and meeting with, Russian officials is a crime (even though he never actually went through with the meeting). I'm not bringing Clinton up here to push blame on her. I'm actually interested in your view: What is the material difference in having someone like Papadopoulos meeting with Russian officials and the Clinton campaign paying that UK spy to meet with Russian officials in order to gather dirt?
