Conspiracy against the US! Holy shiiiiii.....
As far as I read it it's 'only' a money thing though, which is a bit different from what I expect when reading 'conspiracy against [country]'.
[editline]edit[/editline] as far as page 23 goes, that is. The mentions of Ukraine are elsewhere.
Summary of Charges
Conspiracy Against the United States
Conspiracy to Launder Money
Failure to File Reports of Foreign Bank and Financial Accounts
Unregistered Agent of a Foreign Principal
False and Misleading FARA Statements
False Statements
For a total of 11 felony charges, with the fucking bombshell of "Conspiracy Against the United States" for acting as foreign agents of Pro-Russian and Russian-Linked political parties and agents in Ukraine. Holy shit. They're going away for life.
Part of me wants to check T_D to see what they're saying but part of me realizes it won't be as funny as I'd like it to be.

Sweet Jesus roller-blading Christ! That's some serious shit.
If there is one good thing that can come from this whole mess, this is it. Hopefully this guy will never get anywhere near US politics again.
I hope the pundits eat each other today. But I doubt Fox talks much about it until they can find someone to spin the news in their favor.
Fox ain't saying shit until the White House has signalled how they want this spun (most likely that he was only with the campaign for 2 seconds and his role was just to redecorate the campaign office)

You must have missed the bits about Manafort's illegal lobbying with Yanukovych and The Party of Regions, corrupt Pro-Russian and Russian-linked political entitites within Ukraine. Manafort is a Russian agent. Donald Trump's presidential campaign was run by a Russian spy.

"12 counts but NO COLLUSION"
Meanwhile he's charged with conspiracy against the united states :v:
Honestly I don't see anything suspicious here, haven't we all sent a million dollars to a rug store at some point?

I desperately hope not only that this achieves something, but also goes beyond just Manafort.
I have an inkling, sinking feeling that it won't.

worst case scenario is he might be used as a scapegoat, all the corrupt/treasonous(?) shit gets pinned on him and the rest of them get off scot free.
Flip him, please. Hit him with no chance of living outside a jail unless he flips on trump

We have just proven that Donald Trump's campaign manager was a spy and money launderer for corrupt Russian political branches in Ukraine. Things are looking pretty fucking good for the accusations against the Trump campaign illegally colluding with Russia to undermine our democracy. Russia worked hand-in-hand with Trump's campaign manager to promote their interests and power over the US.
The question now is, to what extent did Donald Trump himself, and/or other key figures within his family and campaign, know about Manafort's links? Did Manafort help to extend a partnership between the Kremlin and Donald Trump?

Event if Trump were to admit anything t_d would find a way to spin it into a positive.
Remember the shocking overnight shift in Ukrainian policy that rocked the GOP Convention, revealed to come at the sudden urging of Trump's campaign?
http://www.latimes.com/world/la-na-pol-ukraine-gop-20160720-snap-story.html
For decades, Republican doctrine has viewed Russia as a power to mistrust. But in Donald Trump’s GOP, Moscow’s sins seem to matter less.
The platform written at the GOP convention in Cleveland this week eliminated references to arming Ukraine in its fight with Russia, which seized the Crimean Peninsula in 2014 and has supported separatists in eastern Ukraine.
Many in the party’s foreign policy establishment are outraged.
They note that Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, had worked as a consultant for the now-ousted pro-Russian government in Ukraine.

After Trump surrogates reportedly intervened, the final passage supports “providing appropriate assistance” to Ukraine, but doesn’t mention providing arms to the government in Kiev.
Charlie Black, a longtime Republican strategist, said the change was “most unusual.”
“Virtually every Republican in Congress voted to provide defensive arms to Ukraine and they still support it,” said Black, now chairman of Prime Policy Group, a government relations firm. “This puts the platform on the side of the Obama administration and its weak response to Russian aggression in Ukraine.”
Do you think it would make a difference?
I'm hoping Reddit admin reveal sometime soon they've been monitoring r/t_d on behalf of US intelligence and they know who the Russian propaganda shills are. Also how many cultists are sockpuppeting multiple accounts to make the movement look bigger. I guarantee it's happening, it's just to what extent that I don't know and can't prove.
Let the sunshine in and let it sterilize the infection. We have near-confirmed evidence that Russia had tentacles in immediate, intimate proximity to Trump. I say near-confirmed because Manafort is innocent until proven guilty, but Mueller wouldn't waste his opening salvo on red herrings.
I can't wait for the White House to do damage control and then for Donald to completely blow them away with something off the cuff. Bonus points if he unintentionally implicates himself with what he says.

With Manafort being at the Trump Tower meeting in June w/ Don Jr, you bet your ass he helped extend a partnership.
At what point is the legitimacy of the presidency called into question? I mean legally, cause I pretty much know it's not, in my own opinion.
The man who ran Donald Trump's campaign is a foreign agent, for god's sake. How can you defend that?
Trump uncharacteristically silent this morning. He has not tweeted in two hours. His only tweets this morning were about Fox & Friends, and continued distraction with the dead-end Whataboutism of the Fusion GPS story. Not a word since Manafort was revealed to be the subject, but his massive Twitter meltdown last night makes it pretty fucking clear that he knows the noose is tightening.
I sure would enjoy if this finally leads to trump and his entire cabinet facing the justice they truly deserve. I have gotten really tired of this man surviving far more heinous shit than more reasonable politicians have. Im sick of trumps stupid, smug face. I'm sick of this political climate.
Fucking good riddance manafort, I hope you spend the rest of your miserable cunt existence in prison alongside donny.
What's going to be interesting now is who turns up unexpectedly dead from a suicide gunshot to the back of the head in Russia. The Steele Dossier got a few people killed under curious circumstances, and it'll be a little weird if there's no ripple effect in Russia over this.
Remember how Trump fired Comey to make the "fake Russia story" go away and so Comey couldn't investigate Manafort and Flynn. Now we know that there was something to hide, and I'm sure Mueller is determined to find it, if he doesn't know already.
I hope this is enough to paralyze Republican efforts to deliver Trump's agenda on tax reform and health care. We'll know whose side they REALLY are on if the response is instead to accelerate the agenda... while they still can before everything goes down in flames.
Tear it all down, Meuller. Leave no brick of this corrupt administration standing.

that was the spin in august of last year "I don't even know who he was..." was the spin by trump back then

be careful what you wish for, we could end up with Ben Carson as the president if this happens lol
The largest defense I see if this is that Manafort worked with John Podesta and that he's the real boogeyman.

If Pence and Sessions got indicted too that would make my fucking year.

Doesn't that first charge just mean he was defrauding the US government, paired with the other money related charges and especially paired with False FARA statements and failing to alert the IRS.
