lol @ CNN right now, the white house press lady is telling some wacky ass story instead of addressing any of this
Anyone think this is going to eventually trickle down to Trump, getting him jailed?
The Papadopulous case is fucking explosive.

Not only does it confirm that Russia was behind the email hack, it also confirms that Trump knew about it and was in process of setting up connections to the Russian government.
he's fucked :v

I think that, in light of today's revelations absolutely shattering the testimonies of Kushner, Page, Flynn, and Sessions (to name a few), an impeachment is absolutely inevitable. That would means that almost every member of Trump's inner circle is implicated in this conspiracy, making it effectively impossible that Trump himself would be unaware.
If Trump were anybody else, he would call a press briefing and resign in disgrace before the day is out. If we're forced to go through this whole charade, I think he could have as long as a year left in office before being ripped out of it, but not before his entire corrupt administration is pulled down, brick by brick, around his head.

Goddamn yes. This is great. Question is, who'd take over?

What if he pardons himself and everyone involved

The White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders tells ABC News' Jonathan Karl indictments have "nothing to do with the president," claiming "real collusion scandal" involved the Hillary Clinton campaign. abcn.ws/2A0NCXS
These people are fucking delusional.

Probably Pence in the short run, but in the long run, more people in the line of succession could be implicated in the Russia scandal and unable to take part in succession depending on the severity of their involvement (and it's pretty fucking unlikely that the majority of the prominent people on this list were not aware of and/or involved with Trump's Russia scandal).
Common speculation seems to be that the President pro tempore of the Senate, currently Orin Hatch (rumored to step down and be replaced with Mitt Romney around sometime in 2018 or so), would be the first person in line who was not implicated with the Russian scandal.
Shortly thereafter is Secretary of Defense James Mattis, a few people later.

some people will be in denial for the rest of their lives

Pence, if he isn't also implicated. If he is, then Ryan. If he's also implicated, then Orrin Hatch, who honestly is the most likely out of the line of succession to get and keep the presidency, since he's pretty distant from this entire affair.
Another possibility is that if they drag down Trump before Pence, we could see Pence pick a new (unelected) VP, and then if he got dragged down too, we'd have some god-knows-who totally-unelected president succeeding Pence.
The most likely situation, in my mind, is either Pence or Hatch will become president.
Honestly, Pence should resign right now. He has to see which the wind is blowing, and as big a cunt as he is, I've seen little to implicate him directly in the collusion yet. Get out while he fuckin' can and preserve some dignity.

Pence then shocks the world and selects Bernie Sanders as his VP before stepping down.
Trump 4-D chess at Making America Great Again and giving people what they want.
What's happening tonight and all the consequences in the next few months is going be in the history books of the next generations.

What if he wasn't getting involved in order plead innocent and rise to presidency :/

I would be driving to DC with a truck full of pitchforks and angrily-worded signs. I can't even imagine that reality, because honestly if he tried that (and Congress was limp-wristed as usual and let him get away with it) he'd probably cause some of the largest riots in US history. If that happened, I'd expect him to get thrown out of office by force, and a few years down the line there'd be a constitutional amendment on the table to limit or eliminate the president's power to pardon.
I bet the Supreme Court would shred a court case like that alive on principle alone. That's the kind of abuse of power that'd have Scalia dropping originalism.

Let's just hope that there is a next generation and that Trump doesn't try something stupid with North Korea/Nuclear Warfare as a distraction.
Y'know, I'd like to point out that we knew charges and shit were coming days ago, just not for whom, and that most people pinned Kushner. It's surreal to think that we knew ahead of time that today was going to be as explosive as it is. And a lot of us were just walking our ass around not even paying that much attention to it.
It seems like a lot of people who know more about this kinda thing than I are certain this spells the end for Trump. A lot of people are calling a resignation, some before the day is out, and it makes me wonder, if I go take a nap right now, what the fuck kind of world am I gonna wake up to?
I'm also curious just what this means for the Republican party. This is going to be the Republican party's biggest disgrace, well, ever. I don't think even Nixon is as big as this shit.

Growing up and reading history I always tried to place myself in that time period and see their perspective to understand the situation.
It's completely crazy that we're living that kind of situation right now. Something as big as this.

Nixon is nothing compared to this. And mark my words, within the next 2-5 months, Kushner will be indicted, along with Sessions and Flynn.

Carter Page, too.
I hate how long this is taking. I want to wake up one morning to a better world all at once. :(

It's only 1 PM and the White House is already pointing at Clinton while the two guys indicted are probably already giving up the entire heist. Won't be suprised if by the end of the day we see more charges.
BIG UPDATE

wasn't there some really simple mechanical problem with that? like a pardon is an admission of guilt therefore he would justify the impeachment proceedings therefor he would no longer be able to pardon himself. it was something like that
anyway state crimes can't be pardoned which is what Mueller seems to be aiming for
Ohhhhh, the scandal! I wonder what their end game with the not guilty plea is, in terms of whether or not they think they genuinely have a good case or they are just stalling for time.
The FBI is pretty fucking good at its job huh
