As with Trayvon Martin, the black teenager recently killed in Florida, there are recordings of the events which include a racial slur directed at the victim.
And no link to these supposed recordings. Fucking liars.
There must be a lot missing from this article. I don't understand what accidentally pressing a LifeAlert button has to do with police busting down his door, calling him a "nigger", then shooting him to death.
Well the LifeAlert pendant signals to LifeAlert people (and through them 911) that something's up, and if the guy didn't answer the door then the police might have busted it down to "check on him" (whether they were actually planning that at first or not can't be proven). The racism that followed is exactly that, racism.
Reading stories like this just makes you feel unsafe.

Lankist already did the first bit.

This is not Law Enforcement in general. This is just people who are full of hate against other races and use the badge to get away with it, but this is not every cop.
it is my firm belief that every citizen in america should carry a firearm on their person at all times
we should all have the badge or nobody should have it.
fucking inequalities, and no one has the backbone to stand up to "these outstanding peace officers of society"
fuck that, pigs

have YOU?
There has to be something the article does not say, even the most racist and corrupt officers do not kick in the door of an elderly black man who accidentally called for medical help and shoots him.

Exactly, and how did the man know the police were going to run in and kill him?

Do you really think that giving every person a gun is a good idea? Do you think giving every rapist, every murderer, every scum bag, every gang member, every person with little to no training would be a better system than trying to limit it to a small group of trained professionals? You don't seem to understand that there are people who are not police who are also scum. You don't seem to notice that for every story of a corrupt officer, there are stories in the hundreds of them doing the right thing. My family have been police and military for generations, none of them have been corrupt, and lives have been saved from their actions. They were 'Outstanding Peace Officers of Society.' Get your head out of your ass and get some perspective.
This article just reeks of bias
The one from the last thread goes way deeper into what happens, this one is just "Black guy called ambulance, cops broke in and killed him. Trayvon martin"
I'm very confused on several things.
1. How did the Police know the guy prior to this incident?
2. Why didn't Kenneth Chamberlain just open the door to speak to the officers?
3. If there were two hours between when the pendant was activated and when the Police broke down the door, what happened during those two hours? I doubt it was two hours of the Police yelling racial slurs sporadically before spreading the door down
.
Alot of this just doesn't make any sense. Also, am I the only one who would really like to see the video/audio evidence for myself rather then reading it described by Kenneth's son?
Article is 100% bias free, creating an accurate narrative, and includes all relevant information

Well, even if the story is missing bits, they very definitely shot an unarmed man. I don't think the motive is completely necessary when there's video and audio recordings and autopsy reports more or less proving what they did. At this point you could probably just show the overwhelming amount of evidence against the cops and just ask why they did it if it's really that important.

The thing is, none of the evidence has been released to the public. It's only been described by Kenneth's son. Until it is released, everything we think we know about what happened is hearsay.

obviously there are ways to circumvent putting guns in the hands of bad people, criminal records, hate to say it but credit reports, etc. etc.
if everyone had a gun and everyone knew it, people would be pretty damn afraid to use them.
Wait what?
Why did they shoot him? That makes literally NO sense at all. I mean I get that they're racists but why would they just shoot the dude? Why would they shoot a guy for activating his medical emergency thing?
I'm really doubting the narrative to this story. From what they say, it appears that the guy is innocent, but it doesn't make sense that they would respond to an emergency call just by shooting the guy. The situation wasn't initially fucked up enough for them to exploit to legitimately claim self defense. I feel like a lot of chronological events are missing from the article, which doesn't walk you through the scene accurately enough. All the article says is that the police bust down the door, make fun of the guy, and shoot him. Why were their tasers drawn in the first place? did they know that he was black beforehand? shouldn't it have been EMS to bust the door down or be the first responders? How did the man know the police would come and kill him? Were the police just so outraged that there was a black man in his own apartment that they just flat-fuck killed him for no reason other than racism; if so, why don't they just shoot ANY black guy that they see ANYwhere? NONE of this story makes sense. Not only this, but the various references to Trayvon Martin are simply pandering.
