It's truly sad that people have this bizarre notion that Middle Eastern = religious radical extremist. Period.

People have always done this stuff since the beginning of time. Not a lot separates ISIS from the hundreds of other terrorist/separatists/militant groups from across the globe. You kill your "enemies" and try to gain power, rinse and repeat.

There is a difference between brutally executing civilians and killing the person who is doing the execution. Most people on facepunch have very reserved opinions when it comes to capital punishment or killing in general, but a person can only take so much brutality before they lose all compassion.

No one is this thread is going out crucifying people, to even suggest there is a similarity between the two groups is fucking stupid. People in this thread want the brutality to stop and if that means blowing them off the earth then fuck em.

I'm sorry but this is the real world and what you are suggesting is literally impossible. You are just as clouded by your beliefs as you think people in this thread are. These people are literally the worst type of enemy you could ever face in an engagement. Highly trained, heavily armed, and they can blend in with civilian populations in a second. All it takes is for an ISIS soldier to remove any sort of markings and equipment, tuck a pistol in his belt and walk into a crowd. How do you suggest these people are captured? They took radical extremism and dialed it to 11, they execute people for fun when they're bored. They aren't going to peacefully surrender and walk into a prison cell. And if they do, their buddies will just bomb the prison and break them out, which makes even having them captured a liability since, again, most are specially trained.

If you rode into Iraq on your moral high horse you'd get blown off of it with an RPG.

There is also no point arguing over semantics. "They're evil!" "They're not evil they're human and they're X and they're Y" that doesn't matter whatsoever. They're a threat to everyone on this planet, and they need to be eliminated.
