I just thought of this;

An alterior, or perhaps auxillary approach to this problem could be the promoting of reading and knowlege of the actual Quran. It may seem strange but it would certainly serve to drive a wedge between the corrupt imams and the people they serve lies to. If the actual teachings (ie don't kill) are taught, as opposed to the politcally inspired whisperings of the imams, then perhaps some people could detach themselves intellectually. I mean, isn't that what we want? Sure you secularists might be a bit drawn back, but you aren't going to get atheism down their throat, that I can guarantee. Perhaps a better access to actual teachings would serve to 're-civilize' the extremists.

No, you can't justify anything like that. There's not an "innocent" government on our planet, but the ones we like to call first world exist to keep their people safe. This is why we do not support North Korea whatsoever. Then you have ISIS coming along, hamfisting their way into power with genocide and systematic murder.

Are we not obligated to help those who cannot help themselves? This is not going to resolve itself, people getting mad and disturbed at ISIS is good, otherwise NOTHING will happen. Your average person in the suburbs doesn't even know about whats going on either, I guarantee that. Governments worldwide seem to be hesitant to even lift a finger to help, as with Ukraine.

Angry people draw attention, outrage makes people listen. People need "bad guys".

The problem is that they're not civilians committing crimes, they more like a military in open conflict. You can't send the police after them to get them arrested, it has already escalated to the point where you'd need to send the military in.

As I said in another thread, I'll post this here just so I can voice my opinion in this populated thread.

All though I can agree that what these barbarians is utterly disgusting and should be stripped of all of their power, some may say they "should die slow, and painful deaths." You have to also understand that their sons and daughters are born and grown up through the parents way of learning, brainwashed to what they believe, and they don't have much of a choice in resisting.

These men are criminals to extremists and I understand that. But claiming that you wish that their sons, daughters and children to have the same fate as these innocents just seems wrong.

I hope at least someone can understand what I mean,and that I'm not defending them in any way shape or form. If anything I think the US should assist in taking down this disgusting faction, and I hope this all ends soon.
