Are the acts horrible? Yes
Should they be stopped? Absolutely

But it's hard as shit to do, we were in iraq for more than a decade setting up infrastructer and attempting to train; only to have the people put into power turn tail and run shortly after pulling out. I wish we could help but we spent nearly 15 years helping. I think this is just one of those things the country is going to need to stand up for itself on.

Well actually there is one solution. That is flooding the entire region with ridiculous amounts of peacekeepers while at the same time fixing up the ruined infrastructure. That is hospitals, schools, road networks you know the works. Then after a generation or two of mandatory education and liberal reeducation under some set of western laws and relatively low level of corruption the place could be left alone and see if it's ready for rest of world again.

Never going to happen though, best case scenario is a couple cruise missiles every now and then.
Isis might as well be a khornate cult for all the good it does to them.

I don't believe how much of that ISIS video I actually watched. It made me physically sick and I still feel like I might throw up. Those random drive by shootings are what really got to me. And the one part where they were storming an Iraqi army base and it looked like they had went into the barracks, executed a bunch of soldiers who were still asleep and fucking set them on fire.

What the fuck kind of person wakes up one day and decides he's going to do this shit? I really wish we could do something about it other than get angry behind our monitors and keyboards and hope to fuck our governments listen.
