It seems neither knew before the relationship began and their offspring didn't turn out retarded sooo, AINT NOTHIN WRONG WITH THAT
Yeah but the law would probably have a problem with that, but hey, at least James won't have any problems with the in-laws.
Bummer, But if the court did not let him see or know about his dad and by extentsion his family, they shouldn't have the power to split them up.
I doubt it. Conjoint twins can only be formed from identical twins as they are sourced from the same egg/ They must be the same gender.
By definition you are correct, however certain circumstances might make it plausible. A genetic mutation can occur which causes a male twin to drop a Y chromosome and develop as a female, also known as Turner Syndrome. This is however an extremely rare scenario.
Conjoined twins are rare enough. Different gender would be like 1 in 4billion.
I would estimate it more in the 1 in 125 million range. Edit: I thought about it a bit more and realized a more accurate estimate would be 125 million. That had been bothering me the last day or so, just thought id fix it.
Sex for them is going to be so awkward now.
Apparently they're meant to think of it like winning the lottery. Pretty shitty lottery if you ask me.
Can't be as bad as the other lottery that includes stoning someone to death.
I've been with my girlfriend 8 months, went back down the family tree and found out we're related on my dad's side 3 generations back. Everyone always said we looked like brother and sister.. Oh well too late I already hit that!
Good luck explaining that to the kid.
Sounds like that one House episode.
Accidental Incest.
They should just move to Norfolk. Problem solved.
I don't really see the whole shizzle about this. The social taboo for incest evolved purely to avoid the malformed children which may be born out of incest. Since they share only one parent, there is pretty big chance that none of their children are going to be anyhow anomalous, as their first son has already proven. I don't know if I would want to take the risks of having another child, but my view on the relationship wouldn't get worse by any chance. Actually, I think they might probably understand themselves much more than other people. [editline]02:56PM[/editline]
Actually, I don't think it's bad because they didn't grow up knowing eachother.
Actually, I don't see how growing up knowing each other could be bad.
Wow, that's pretty surprising. I mean, seriously, imagine discovering that your partner was related to you, after the two of you had a kid together. It would be truly devastating to anyone... Although I think the kid should know. After all, people are entitled to know their bloodlines, aren't they? I mean, universally, not constrained by Irish law.
[release] May 31, 2010 I'd been in relationships before but I just knew this was different." [/release]
:byodood: IT WAS!!!
I'm thinking babies with deformities :colbert:

Fucking Red Dead Redemption, makin' me picture tha man as Irish... Anyway, pun, pun... God dammit, 'Oh brother' was already used and I can't think of any others. Well, this sucks for them.
It seems neither knew before the relationship began and their offspring didn't turn out retarded sooo, AINT NOTHIN WRONG WITH THAT
I was going to disagree but then I saw your avatar and my entire existence was improved.
As has been said a hundred times already, their sex life is going to be awkward now. ...unless they both had incest fetishes to begin with. :q: In either case, they do now! :v:
I feel sorry for them, it must be horrible knowing that you're going to be looked down on because of the person you love. It's not like they originally knew they were related, so...
They arent going to be looked down on. It states in the article that they masked their identities for the sake of their child and their families privacy.
Apparently they're meant to think of it like winning the lottery. Pretty shitty lottery if you ask me.
Not really. Meeting the (most likely) love of your life? I'd hop in.
Oh well, too late to do something now
:barf: The fact that they kept going after finding out...
They could just have a threesome with someone else.
As long as they love each other its fine. It's the same as Muslims marrying their cousin.
