'TV and video games do NOT cause bad behaviour' say experts

it's pretty stupid to assume that you can be immune to the effects of video games. they can be a root cause of bad behaviour, in alot of cases they aren't.
TV and Games don't cause bad behavior, using them as a babysitter does.
I'm a victim of this, been playing GTA and related games since i was 5, because it kept me out of my brother's hair.
I'd go so far as to argue that people who play video games, especially violent or competitive ones, are slower to anger in social interactions because they've been tempered by them - And it gives them an outlet for stress.
Video games aren't really a good outlet for stress or aggression though, physical activity is.

i would say mental exercises are the best outlet for stress and aggression. if you rely on video games, physical activity, etc. for relieving stress or anger, then if those options aren't available you will be unable to cope with those feelings. anger management exercises(counting to 10 sorta shit) can be done no matter what, so they are a lot more reliable.

that isn't to say physical activity(esp. running or walking) isn't good for mental health anyways, just that you shouldn't necessarily go on a run every time your boss pisses you off or w/e.
Y'know it's kinda sad to see that experts need to tell us that video games and TV aren't making our children violent.
The internet is not a good place for sarcasm, but i wouldn't be surprised if like there's one oddball here that became social because of a forum
You called me an oddball :<
just in: dumb obama loving liberal atheist socialists are spreading obvious bias and misinformation in the media, leading our children to engage in satan worshiping rituals like playing video games and having opinions

Absolutely, it depends on what we're talking about. Video games etc is good for relaxing, but if you're talking agression and stress then not really, it causes your body to work up and ready itself for physical activity. It's unhealthy to ignore that.
There is a friendly cucumber here
