Sayings like "A man wonders when he will have sex, a woman knows." do not exist for the hell of it.
yep that old saying sure does confirm my stereotypes of women thanks!

You going to argue or you going to call people names?
GEE, SURE IS MISOGYNISTIC IN HERE.
I wouldn't say that picture was misogynistic as such, though elements of it do go a tad too far, imo. It is true that there are many stupid double-standards related to gender, and most of the ones in the picture do exist. It isn't saying that women are dumb and stupid and wrong, it's saying that society's perception of the differences between men and women is dumb and stupid and wrong (which it is).
GEE, SURE IS MISOGYNISTIC IN HERE.
Double standards.
Can't really deny their existence now can you?
okay thanks for letting us know
Yeah you're right. I'll just go with this one study without anything else!
You going to argue or you going to call people names?
Sure as hell I'm going to argue.
This double standards thing is a load of bullshit. If a man hits a woman in self defense, it's self defense. If a man punches a woman in the face for taking too long to get ready, it's not brave or anything. I've never heard of seen an example of a woman hitting a man, (while injuring him mind you) and getting totally away from it. The crotch grab example, most men honestly don't care about their "neutrality zone" being violated, but thats primal. Women are much more protective of themselves because genetically they are weaker. Someone please prove to me examples of splitting the bill. I've never even heard of that stereotype. Staring at a womans breasts while flirting? Thats fine. Staring at them while talking? What the hell is wrong with the person who made this image?

Also, the work thing. If that's not misogynist.
Women are much more protective of themselves because genetically they are weaker.
thanks for the biotruth
The crotch grab example, most men honestly don't care about their "neutrality zone" being violated, but thats primal.
if a woman i don't know comes up and grabs my dick the main thing stopping me from kicking off about it is the high likelihood that I wouldn't be taken seriously.
When it comes to sexual things it's men who are perverts. Or maybe very ugly women.

Good point, but I don't think that panel is necessarily not knowing the person you're grabbing. The point is most of that image is

Let's see here.
Count how many times you've seen/heard a news article that was about a wife beating up her husband just for the heck of it?
Now count how many times you've seen/heard a news article that was about an abusive husband?
As an example I can give a story about a female shopkeeper. One day a dude decided to go rob the store, but in the end he failed and the woman took him as a "prisoner". She then proceeded to rape him multiple times in a course of few days until finally this was brought to an end. It was widely reported all over, but the funny thing is that this woman had DOSENS of posts and support groups hailing her as a hero and every woman should look up to her.
Change the story so that there is a male clerk and a woman robber. The man would sit the rest of his years in jail and would be the most hated man ever.
most of that image is
And so is your counterargument. I agree that the picture doesn't do the best job at getting across the message, but there are stupid double-standards between men and women, in both directions.
Why this is ridicu-

I'm really going to need a source for that. Let's say for a benchmark we are using the strength of the two heaviest lifters in the world, Ms. Lisa Miller and Mr. Ryan Kennelly. Lisa lifts 407lbs, and Ryan, 1074lbs. If that were the benchmark for human strength, a man would be approximately 37/100 stronger than a woman. While that doesn't sound like much, if we were to move that into the strength of Rocky Marciano's punch which is 1028 joules, the strongest female equivlent would be 378 joules. I think you should understand why there are many more abusive husbands in the world than abusive women.

Another good example is the news story about how a woman chopped off her husband's dick while he was asleep and Sharron Osbourne and some other idiots on a talk show laughed at it and congratulated her.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that women are oppressing men or any other retarded bullshit like that - it's just that double standards and sexism goes both ways a lot more than people think it does, not just men oppressing women.
[editline]das[/editline]
Hey Sanius, feel like explaining why I'm dumb? I'm open to counterarguments.

It doesn't fucking matter if you're heavy weight abusing light weight or light weight abusing heavy weight, you're still an fucking abuser.
Here's some article about the example I gave:

OK fuck you, seriously. I was trying to get across the point that men are highly likely to become abusers because of their strength.

and everyone went apeshit about it, rightly so

Oh really, please do link us to a research that proves this, because if there isn't any it's just
this entire thread is fucking stupid
if you're trying to fight double-standards, don't try to denounce one gender or the other
if we keep up this tired, idiotic tirade of "us vs. them" mentality, we're never going to overcome prejudice.

Morgan Freeman says it best. He's talking about racism, but you can apply it to any division of people. The human race isn't made up of "men" and "women," it's made up of human beings.
