I know, but none of the Call of Duty games after 2 were any good.
CoD 4 was amazing.
The list of nominees was fucking stupid, 3 games per console per generation. And for some reason Black Ops was the only game nominated more than once.
And yet it didn't win because then they would have to reveal the horrible truth of why the game sucks. [editline]5th May 2011[/editline] also op updated with kotaku article.
I personally think Yoshi's Island should have been on there. Shigeru Miyamoto was told to make a more realistic looking Mario, so he did the completely opposite thing and made a game with silly crayon-drawn backgrounds.
i agree with most of the winners, but i kinda wish that okami, KHII and FFX could have all won in the ps2 adventure section, hell they should add all the nominees to the museum aswell
kingdom hearts 2 was a confusing mess of terribly thought out disney references shoe horned into a squeenix soap opera plot sounds like something made by a retard with a MIDI music creator and it plays through that whole fucking level for fucking ever
I know, but none of the Call of Duty games after 2 were any good.
both 3 and 4 dog were good, dog.
Why the fuck isn't portal 2 up there?
Why the fuck isn't portal 2 up there?
Because it was not released before they started researching and did the vote for these games. They did a cutoff and the people within the museum choose the games for the vote and we voted the ones that defined that generation.
Where's Half-Life?
I know, but none of the Call of Duty games after 2 were any good.
what are you talking about call of duty 4 was awesome, i bought it in 2007 and i still come back to it often. i have like 200.000 kills in my profile hehe
Too many insignificant games in that list.
Halo 2? I'm a big fan of the series, but honestly halo 2 was the only one that didn't really fit in, art-wise. What defines the halo series to me is bright colors and sharp detail, and halo 2 was very muddy and chose blurry bumpmapping over texture definition. Odd choice.
Halo 2
Why...
Because Portal already is, and I think they came up with this before Portal 2 was released. Also, Halo 2 wasn't bad, but it was very unpolished. It was, however, one of the earliest and biggest console online-multiplayer game, which could explain it being on here.
Where's Half-Life?
lost to portal
Halo 2 made it, but Half-Life 2 didn't?
Halo 2 made it, but Half-Life 2 didn't?
as I said, lost to portal
I think Elder Scrolls deserves a few spots on that list...
Too many insignificant games in that list.
Seriously. Many aren't even artistic or groundbreaking, just popular.
Halo and Starcraft were two I was hoping for and that I'm glad made it, both changed the way their respective genres were made by quite a lot.
Saw Bioshock, was instantly intrigued.
Minecraft :toot:
Halo 2 Heavy Rain
what the FUCK
Thank god Doom II is there atleast.
replace halo 2 with half life heavy rain can stay there, it was unique enough of a game (indigo can suck my dick)
Why the shit wasn't Braid on that list? I mean the soundtrack alone should get it on the top #10
-Mass Effect 2 -Fallout 3
huehuehuehuehueh
I would personally swap out DOOM II for DOOM 1 but that's just me.
kingdom hearts 2 was a confusing mess of terribly thought out disney references shoe horned into a squeenix soap opera plot sounds like something made by a retard with a MIDI music creator and it plays through that whole fucking level for fucking ever
Then Sly Cooper :v: Either that or AC4
what the FUCK
heavy rain was an interesting idea, you have to admit it fell flat on it's face, yeah, but it was a valiant effort [editline]5th May 2011[/editline]
Then Sly Cooper :v: Either that or AC4
Oh fuck yes. Sly Cooper beats the shit out of Wack and Ziki or whatever the fuck.
Too many insignificant games in that list.
Oh I didn't realise games had to have significant and mainstream to have a good art style.
