Worms Armageddon, Fuck yea. That's some true art.
Minecraft won over Starcraft 2 :v:
Minecraft won over Starcraft 2 :v:
It's more worth enshrining, as it were. Starcraft 2 was good, but at it's core it's just Starcraft 1 with a spit shine. Great to play, not so much to put down in the annals of history.
Honestly they could close this entire exhibit down and replace it with a giant temple to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and I'd be far more content.
Minecraft won over Starcraft 2 :v:
World in Conflict handed SC2's ass in fun, visuals and re-playability and it was made in '07. hl2 not on the list? also 6 zelda games, i mean cmon one would be enough or "zelda in general"
Honestly they could close this entire exhibit down and replace it with a giant temple to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and I'd be far more content.
i liked majora's mask more creepiest fucking game ever made
It's good to see that they know what they're talking about. [editline]5th May 2011[/editline]
Disappointed that Metal Gear Solid 4 wasn't even a nominee for PS3 Action yet Black Ops was :colbert:
I thought MGS4 was a movie.
hl2 not on the list? also 6 zelda games, i mean cmon one would be enough or "zelda in general"
This since while it added in neat ideas to its core, the main story and EVERYTHING for the most part was the same throughout all of them. Excluding Majora's Mask and maybe Wind Waker(Never beat it) [editline]5th May 2011[/editline] WAIT WAIT WAIT! Is Tetris in the list :v:!?
i liked majora's mask more creepiest fucking game ever made
God I loved Majora's Mask. Everyone gave it shit simply because it was so much different from OoT and, really, every other Zelda game made. But it was absolutely unique and didn't deserve comparison to the rest of the series. If they just looked at it as an individual game, it would've been damn popular.

But really, Ocarina of Time is absolutely timeless. You can't even see pictures or hear sound snips from the game without getting taken over by nostalgia. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mc7BCZFP9Ww Seriously.
You mean like Wind Waker :colbert:
I liked wind waker more than TP it just had so much more longevity, it had all of those side quests that make Zelda for me.
Eat your heart out, Ebert
You mean like Wind Waker :colbert:
Windwaker was right in line with all the original Zeldas; You played a child in the land of Hyrule (Now drowned to shit). People just turned dumb because it was cell shaded.
only overrated games allowed
only overrated games allowed
The sad part is I don't know if I should rate Agree or Disagree due to some of the shit on that list.

It's just that Majora's Mask goes farther in all the important bits, and ends up telling a really fucking unique story along the way, in a way that utilizes it's interactive element better in telling that story than any other game I've ever played.
Where's Half-Life?
yeah, portal got in and Half Life DIDN'T?
Windwaker was right in line with all the original Zeldas; You played a child in the land of Hyrule (Now drowned to shit). [editline]5th May 2011[/editline]
yeah, portal got in and Half Life DIDN'T?
Portal is better than Half Life, as fucking awesome as Half Life is.

Sure, you played the same three days over and over, but everybody had a character to them and you could influence so much in the game world. Everything strung together so beautifully, and even some of the side-quests were as heart-rending and amazing (if not more so) than the actual main storyline. Couple's Mask, anybody?

Still, IMHO Ocarina of Time was better.
I have now been booted out of the conversation :v:

Couple's Mask, anybody?
And the ending is this weird combination of Lynchian mindfuck and Folklore mythology, it made the surrealist artist in me giggle with joy. Everything is just perfect. Everything. It would take pages to go over everything they did right. [editline]5th May 2011[/editline]
That's the one I didn't collect, I think.
Portal is better than Half Life, as fucking awesome as Half Life is.
Have you ever played Half Life 2? I mean portal's cool and all but it's just solving puzzles with a portal gun. You can finish the whole game in 1 sitting. And it didn't have much of a "story" until the second game came out.

Always a good laugh. A lot of people never got the Couple's Mask because, in itself, I found it as hard to get as the Stone Tower Temple was to beat, and goddamn it that was not an easy Temple. Once you got it done and experienced the story behind it, though, it was absolutely worth it. When it comes to measuring which was better (MM or OoT), I honestly don't know if I can choose. Majora's Mask broke away from the usual Zelda mold and was incredibly unique in itself and against the series, but Ocarina of Time, as Scorpio said, is the foundation of freakin' everything.

Personally I would have shoved Red Dead Redemption in there because it's the first game I've ever played where I actually teared up a bit. Not to mention the world and everyone in it was amazing.
Half-Life and Half-Life 2 - some of the highest rated games in the world and they're not even on the list. Bull-fuckin-horseshit.
